I got some good news in the mail when I got home from Clay's BBQ yesterday. My certificate and pin for my "Lake Huron 1000" ride on May 2nd arrived! That's the fastest I've ever heard back from the IBA for a certified ride. No pics yet since my cameras are already packed.

Also, as I recently posted in the Iron Butt section, I'm heading out tomorrow for Seattle and the big rally. Thank to everyone on here for their support and advice over the last nine months as I've prepped for this thing. The Iron Butt Rally thread over in the "Iron Butt" section of STN usually has info as things progress, so stay tuned there. I am not allowed to publicly disclose my SPOT locations during the rally, although I think they might release some sort of general public tracking thread this year, so look for it on the IBA website. As usual, I expect that there will be daily updates on the rally on the IBA website as well. If you hear my name in those reports, it's either very good or very bad news (more likely it's bad news given that I'm not trying to win).

See you guys in a 3 1/2+ weeks (and hopefully not sooner!)

Good Luck Dean,

Remember the Gold Bond and daughter says no burritos.

That will help, I think......

I'm not sure if its "Good Luck" or "Break a Leg" for endurance rallies. Or I'll go with the old stand by -

Don't f&ck up.
