Anyone interested in running up to Cycle-Moore in Interlochen on July 8-10?  I've got a free weekend and am about 3 pounds shy on campfire smoke.  Long range forecast looks good enough.  $5 per person per night makes for a cheap weekend and we can go get the tag Saturday.   Bigsmile

Post up if you're IN:

What?  You know where the damn place is.  Stop and pick up the beer from Clay on your way up.   :pokestick:

I may have a friend coming over from Minneapolis for the weekend on his FJR too.  He's checking with work tomorrow.

I've almost made up my mind to go, just have to work out the logistics with my brother about staying at his place in Algoma on the Thursday and Sunday nights. Breaking it up that way would give me a little extra time to sightsee and enjoy the ride through the UP, among other things.

I would give this some serious thought but I jacked up my left hand and a few days of clutch work may be difficult. Who knows, maybe by next week I'll be golden  Shrug  We'll see.

Tom, are you still going to do this?  Do I need to make a reservation at Cycle-Moore?  I haven't decided if I will drop in at my brother's place or not, but may just camp near Escanaba on the way out & back.

Yes, I'm in. Camp gear is being piled up tomorrow after work for a Friday afternoon departure.  Wink  I need this badly.  No reservations required at Cycle-Moore.  They have plenty of room.  We could hold a National Event there and not run out of space.

Interested, but my son is supposed to be off a plane from Afghanistan then, and I wouldn't miss that for the world. But, he may not get a flight till next week, so I may be free. Won't know until the communication blackout is lifted.

Smile
A man will walk off that airplane, he will be tired, bone weary tired and if the crews that hauled his ass across the Atlantic have anything to do with it, slightly drunk.
give him a day or two to decompress, remember he has to remember how to be a Son again. (enjoy him calling you Sir.)
Congratulations to you and him, enjoy your time together.
if you decide to bring him to the camp out we'd all like to meet him.

BTDT, Max.  Went over to Germany to see mine last month.  That was worth every penny spent.  Tell him thanks from someone who has also done it.   Bigok
