I rode mine tonight!  Another 100 miles to the "local" Tim's in Grand Haven, MI.  Being Canadian I just had to do it on our Civic Holiday.

Damn man don't you know riding offroad is dangerous?!  Hell, wet grass will have you down in no time!  Dirt is acidic, too, and might damage the paint.  Just stick to nice paved roads and you won't go wrong.

 Wink

Nice purchase!!!

Thanks!  Don't worry, one day it will get dirty but for now I'm sticking to the XR for off-road excursions.

For all you Chicagoland folks, was in DGY yesterday and they had a blue one on the floor if you want to check it out.  Not sure if for sale.

The Tenere looks great. From what I have read, they should ride great as well.
Question I have is if any of you Tenere owners also shopped BMW 1200 GS.
If so, what was the actual dollar difference in your area?

I was looking at the BMW GSA as well.  I figured I saved $5000 to $7000 by going with the Yamaha.  I've put 500 miles on a 2009 GSA and feel that the Yamaha is a smoother/ more refined bike (all street riding).

Picked mine up from D&H Cycle in Cullman, AL. They had excellent pricing, went over the bike with me for almost two hours and installed all the accessories for free. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/protondecay123/d446bf32.jpg
Rode about 300 miles in 110 degree heat to Central Arkansas and played in the woods! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/protondecay123/f277fc76.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/protondecay123/4b7a6450.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/protondecay123/188f9ca9.jpg

I was kinda joking.  If I could buy one of those, I think the first thing I'd do is wear those road tires off and put some knobbies on it.  Looks like so much fun!
