Over the course of the past week, we took out family vacation to Charlevoix Michigan. While my wife and daughter were out spending my money shopping, my son and I were out burning gas in our dirtbikes!
Please allow me to indulge in our exploits in the dirt, or should I say sand...
Starting off by unloading our dirtbikes from the trusty Subaru on some nameless dirt road in Emmett County. Mine is a "classic" 1993 Honda XR200R, and Ryan is on the venerable Kawasaki KLX110.

Beautiful cloudless day, and we came across some rusted out old cars/trucks in a field. Very cool.

Some shots from the "trail of death" as my son calls it. Very sandy and difficult to ride.

Found this great little two track which ran up between two sandhills. Did I mention sand?

One of the better tracks:

Came across this very old cemetery with wooded headstones. Quiet neighborhood, but people are dying to get in!

Yours truly:

Northern Michigan is a great place to ride, however be prepared to ride in sand, lots of sand, and get good at it!
