That sucks about the Skyway! I'll be at Riders Hill at 9am on Sunday. See you there.

yep, the Cherohola is partially blocked by the repaving BUT 28 is SWEET as well as every where else. Be careful in Union County and no passing on Double yellow UNLESS waved around.
On the 7th we went for a little 470 mile ride: Tucker GA >I-85 N >I-985 N> GA HWY 52 West>GA HWY 60 N>Blood Mountain (GA HWY 129) >Wolf Pen Gap (GA HWY 180) > GA HWY 60 N from Suches GA> heck-if-I-know what road LOL >HWY TN 68N> Tellico Plains TN> Cherohala Skyway from Tellico Plains TN to Robbinsville NC>HWY 129 N towards the Tail of The Dragon> Took a right on HWY 28 (Moonshiners 28) all the way down to almost Clayton > Partner said Red Rock, we were tired >so we went home> HWY 441 S> I-85S> Home
On tight and twisty HWY 28 we rode well over an hour and passed four cars and only had three coming the other way.=Priceless!
Heck, we barely saw ANY traffic on any of the roads which were mainly nice and twisty with some smooth sweepers thrown in.
Ya'll be safe, I have a honey-do-list to finish but I'll ride Monday or Tuesday (I hope).

Ga-Bandit, that's normally our generic day trip also, but, no passing on double yellow unless waved around...?

I normally don't ride 28 from Deals Gap to Clayton, I might now include it.
Double yellow - Union County is allegedly having civilian cars pull out in front of people in order to "make" them pass so they can ticket them.

That's one of my favorite roads, the HellBender....I especially like the section south of Highlands....very tight, very fun.
