Counting down the days for my Scotland trip. Leaving Sunday for Newcastle on the ferry and will be spending the next 2 weeks in the highlands.

This will be my planned route:

Travelers this year are my dad on his K1200GT, a close friend form the US on my R1100S and myself on the K1200S. I hope the weather will cooperate a bit. Not afraid to get wet (stay out of Scotland if you are), but a bit of nice weather now and then when seeing stuff would be nice. Smile

Will be bringing my usual camera gear as well as on-board video with me, so I'll be posting lots of pics and some vids in a couple of weeks when I get back.

That's similar to the route I took in May:

I can highly recommend the White House Restaurant in Lochaline which appears to be on your route Smile

I also took a similar route on my trip. If I might make a couple of suggestions...

Instead of the bridge at Lochallsh, I stayed the night in Glenelg and took the little ferry over to the Isle of Skye the next morning.

I also went to the little distillery at edradour...it was wonderful and I thought the whiskey excellent...

Inverness was my favorite town, and I took a side over to the Isle of Man from Heysham and that was my favorite ride of the trip.

The highlands was a close second, though. I went in late September and would ride for hours, literally hours in the highlands and not see another vehicle! It was actually spooky at times.

Enjoy!!!

I'll be riding some of those roads this weekend, doing a 4-day trip around Scotland.
