When the New Madrid cranks up again it will severe most of the pipelines feeding natural gas and heating oil to the rust belt and northeast as well as the rail lines carrying coal to the southeast. I expect it will take months to get relief anwhere within 100 miles of the epicenter. The zombie season will have no limit.

Forget months. There's what....3 nuke reactors on the fault line. The liquefaction would probably turn the whole area radioactive for centuries.

Oh I'm sure they were very careful to design the nuke plants with the fault in mind. :rolleyes:
