KenH: When the New Madrid cranks up again it will severe most of the pipelines feeding natural gas and heating oil to the rust belt and northeast as well as the rail lines carrying coal to the southeast. I expect it will take months to get relief anwhere within 100 miles of the epicenter. The zombie season will have no limit. |

The liquefaction would probably turn the whole area radioactive for centuries. |
