Talking smack about a team that went 7-6 overall and 3-5 in conference is just a bit silly, isn't it?
Posted from the MSU cheering section
And a parting shot - pansies are maize and blue too.

Disclaimer: I grew up in Canada, so I'd rather watch a bad hockey game than a great college football game any day.
That said, I knew I'd have to learn to love football and pick a side when I moved to Michigan ten years ago. I made my decision quickly and I've stuck to it. Over the years I've actually come to enjoy a good college football game.
Go SPARTANS!
Michigan seems to be overrated pretty much every year. I've never seen a team so hyped that nearly always ends up being so mediocre-to-bad (in some years they've been the football equivalent of the 1987 Cleveland Indians). When is the last time they beat Ohio State? (don't get me wrong, I have no love for Ohio State either).

The guy across the street from me is a die hard M-Blue fan. needless to say I'm not. During football season we don't talk to much.
I agree with Dean, they are overrated.

One day in an elementary school in Ann Arbor Michigan, a teacher asks her class if the Michigan Wolverines are their favorite football team. The whole class says yes except for Little Jimmy.
The teacher asks, "What's your favorite football team Jimmy?"
Little Jimmy says, "The Ohio State Buckeyes."
The teacher asks, "Well, why is that?"
Little Jimmy says, "Well, my dad is a Buckeye fan, my mom is a Buckeye fan, I guess that makes me a Buckeye fan."
The teacher angered by his reply says, "If your dad was a moron and your mom was an idiot what would that make you?"
Little Jimmy says, "Well, I guess that would make me a Michigan fan."
Q: What do Michigan and pot have in common?
A: They both get smoked in bowls!
Q: How many University of Michigan fans does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: One, but he gets 3 credits.
Q: Where was O.J. hiding right before the famous white Bronco chase?
A: On the University of Michigan campus. That's the last place you would find a football player.
Q: Why do they throw out a sack of manure at University of Michigan weddings?
A: To keep the flies off the bride.
Q: Why don't University of Michigan fans let their kids play in sand boxes?
A: Because cats keep covering them up.
Q: Did you hear about the University of Michigan fan who locked his keys in his car?
A: He couldn't get his family out.
Q: Why do University of Michigan fans keep their diplomas on their dashboards?
A: So they can park in handicap spaces.
Q: What do you call a good looking girl on the University of Michigan campus?
A: A visitor.
Q: Do you know why the University of Michigan football team should change its name to the "Opossums"?
A: Because they play dead at home and get killed on the road.
Q: What does the average University of Michigan student get on his SAT?
A: Drool.
Q: What should you do if you find three University of Michigan fans buried up to their neck in cement?
A: Get more cement.
Q: How do you make University of Michigan cookies?
A: Put them in a big Bowl and beat for 3 hours.
Q: What do you get when you cross a University of Michigan fan and a pig?
A: Nothing. There's some things that a pig will not do.
Q: How many University of Michigan freshman does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None, it's a sophomore course.
Q: Why did Michigan change their field from grass to artificial turf?
A: To keep the Michigan cheerleaders from grazing at half time.

It's going to be a good match up. I *almost* feel bad for Notre Dame fans, but not really.

Ever notice how wolverine fans always want to talk about what WAS instead of what IS? Probably Little Sister will compete with ND and they can talk about that game for years. They like to talk about how MI really won the Natl title in 97 ( they do not like to hear about A/ St loss however).
Go State....pound those Gluttons... Again.
