Quote
Set for its official public debut at this year’s EICMA show, the MV Agusta Brutale 675 B3 was caught testing in this “spy photo” that was snapped near Varese, Italy. The form of the three-cylinder naked streetbike is not terribly surprising, as it borrows heavily from the MV Agusta F3, making similar changes to the supersport’s design as the original Brutale did with the MV Agusta F4. Expected to sell around the €9,000 mark, the Brutale 675 will be MV Agusta’s most affordable motorcycle.

While the four-cylinder F4/Brutale will remain MV Agusta’s premium offering, the three-cylinder bikes like the F3 and Brutale 675 B3 will take the brand into new realms, both in terms of price points and market segments. MV Agusta has already disclosed its plans on making a three-cylinder hypermotard model that would be based off the F3′s motor, and there are rumors of a dual-sport/adventure model as well. While the long-term roadmap for MV looks quite promising, the biggest worries right now with the Italian company is its short-term survival.

I totally missed that in Other, the thread wasteland. Lol

I'm pretty excited with this Brutale to see how it compares to the Street Triple.  That sssa is so sexy.

Damned Italians!  I'm perfectly happy with my Tiger, and they go releasing RSV4 Tuonos and MV Brutal triples.  I was sure I would be out of the buyers market for at least another couple years.  I'm sure I'll find some reason one of these bikes is the only way I'll be able to fully enjoy motorcycling in the future  Rolleyes

Love it!

Has Triumph created a whole new class--the 675 triple?  When will Yamaha and Honda be joining the party? Wink

The rumor awhile back was that BMW was going to make a S675RR triple to compliment the S1000RR.  But that was nearly 2-years ago.  The MV F3 was supposed to be out already, but has been delayed which is a bit worrying.  Hopefully MV will have the F3 and B3 out soon, and hopefully there will be many to challenge the Triumph triples.

The MV CEO Giovanni interview I posted previously has some additional insight on the B3 - http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,66251.0.html

Caution: bike porn   Inlove :leghump:

http://youtu.be/gD0Ij5Z1EPc

WHY is it that companies hoping to part customers with thousands of pounds of their hard-earned think that the best way to do it is by teasing them?

The trend for 'teaser' videos, slowly leaking information out prior to a launch that inevitably loses all it's impact has snowballed this year – witness Kawasaki's extended attempt at viral marketing with the ZZR1400 – and now MV Agusta is in on the act with its own teaser video, this time for the totally-unsurprising Brutale 675.

They actually show the whole bike, but manage to do it in an annoying way by constantly going out of focus, cutting between angles and shaking the camera about; the result being rather like that of handing your video camera to a three-year-old. But pause it at the right moment and you can see the bike.

And yes, it's a naked version of the F3 with a Dali-esque 'melted' headlight like the bigger Brutale, a new seat unit, but sticking with the F3's triple stacked exhausts. Looks good as far as we can tell, as you'd expect from a bike that's presumably been styled by British designer Adrian Morton (he of the latest F4, the F3, the Benelli Tornado and TNT and one of Tamburini's understudies in the design of the original F4). It's just a shame they haven't just released some proper pictures of it instead of a video dreamt up by clueless marketing execs...

Honda will only join once the popularity of the 675 cc triple configuration is past it's prime and being replaced by a new configuration. Even then, they'll mate it to an automatic transmission in an overweight ugly bike that no one wants. Oh, and they'll give it a name that will confuse everyone. Wink

I'm sorry  Sad zero heartstrings pulled here  Shrug

mebbe it's the shroud/pods and weird headlight binnacle.

throwing on some dual headlights like the old Triumph streetfighter would improve things  Smile

I'm going to write to MV Agusta and suggest the changes.
