What a perfect day for a motorcycle ride! No rain, sunshine and 70's. Got to gather with some friends for a 2 pm departure time.
Left Turbotville over to 15 s to Col John Kelly Rd to 192 which we took clear to 445 down to 45 and back to 235 south. then to 333
almost to Lewistown were we picked up 522. back to Mcclure were we took some side roads before jumping on 235n back up through the fun curvey
section to 45, east into Mifflinburg then crossed back over to John Kelly again to 15 north to Willamsport were we meet more friends for bike night and
back home after 245 miles. Didn't take as many pictures as normal but here's a couple from today.

A little local riding by myself today and a few very random pictures.
visited my old church that I grew up in this morning,
another old truck
came across this little cemetery out in the middle of no where. looked like mostly the same family name.

Another 125 ride today with some of the usual characters. also had a new passenger today for her first bike ride, by the end of the ride Dasha was leaning into the curves with me like a pro.
Also crashed Rochele's younger sister Angie's picnic (who made an appearance a few pages back on this thread) All added up to a fun day with good people.
the start
little worried about my friends after seeing this one. lol
Dasha in gear
Sunny and Dasha
Tim doing a whellie....well this is the before picture.
another view of Dasha and Sunny lol
Ravine, only one other bike came in while we were there today.
My young friend knows his chips
Our host Angie left, and friend Lyuda right after her son told her that he wanted a sportbike instead of a harley when he got big. lol
and our friend Christina making another appearance.

I had hoped to ride to more places from the "Going Local 2" book this summer but didn't ever get it done. So Today we made it out to a local to us place featured, Cherry Alley Cafe
in Lewisburg. We met our friend Christina for breakfast.here.
left my camera laying on the table at home so just a couple phone pictures this time. Hoping to get out for some longer rides yet this fall. I also love fall riding when the leaves are flying around
as you follow your friends and wifey.

Was out a little yesterday doing some errands and saw this at the bike shop when I stopped. I don't think I heard of these before.
Today I ended up going out exploring/ wandering around by myself just enjoying the fall type weather. Started out by going across skyline drive betwwen 554 and 15,
this road is closed most of the year and they open it up for hunting season.
came across this old building up on the mountain.
the road even had a couple small water crossings.
Hit a small milestone for the Tiger, today.
Circled around a little and found myself going up 15 to 14 to fields station and taking the road towards calvert and on to proctor.
crossed over to Hillsgrove south to Ogdonia then made a left on this dirt road that I've never been on.
out here I found Hunters lake, a nice relaxing place to hang out...unless your being hunted I guess.
I noticed this sign after walking around on the edge of the rocking dock, with nobody else in sight and thought in my mind of how cold the ride home would be if
I lost my balance and took a dip.
Just a gentle reminder for all you dirty riders.
One more old truck thats seen it's better days. Over to 42 and down toward home. One more ride up to visit friends at the Saturday Night Starbucks Biker hangout thing.
Hoping for some more good fall riding, leaves are changing and a few were even dancing in the road behind me as I passed. Fun.

This afternoon I decided to make another ride out of a page in Ken Hull's book. lol Made a 145 mile ride out of going to the intersection of 104 and 35
In Mount Pleasant Mills to visit this little 50"s style cafe.
From the Going local book. "...Cruiser's had the best fresh-cut fries ever-so good that he rides two to three hours from Bethlehem,Pa for them"
Not sure about the best ever.....but they were pretty good.
The young lady behind the counter did make a mean Dusty Road Sunday!
A couple in motion shots

Today I just really felt like setting in the seat and riding for awhile. I usually like smaller roads but 15 north isn't to bad to cover some quick miles
and get to a different area.
Where the heat comes from.
It was still in the 40's which was comfortable until it started to rain, thankfully it only lasted a few miles.
I left my house and didn't stop until I saw this.
It's nice that Pa welcomes me with a sign that matches my bike.
I set here and imagined the thoughts that would pop in my head if this came into my view at about 120 mph.
went west on 49 and spent some time around Cowanesque Lake.
lots of parking on the beach side.
One picture that I liked.
Help Help...where are my friends when I need them.
This cost me 2 U-turns.....but I like it.
On the north side of the lake off of Bliss road.
After hanging around the lake I turned south off of 49 on Cummins Creek rd and took that down to 249 to 287 then to 6 west to 362
and back to 660 and out to the Pa Grand Canyon.
I was a little surprised at the amount of naked trees up north already. After leaving PGC I decided to try taking Kelsey Street south instead of going down 287
I remembered seeing it on the map but forgot exactly were it ended up. Kinda nice little road and several miles down the road there was a To 287 sign turn Left, but the road was
so interesting I kept going thinking it had to take me somewhere south that I would recognize. It did. About 40 minutes after I left PGC park it dropped me back on 660.....4 miles from the park.
Back to 287 south to Williamsport for bike night, a little more riding to end a 275 mile day.

Didn't quit get there yesterday , so I took a little ride on the ZX14 with Rochele today to see this.
I wanted to get here before I started mostly riding the Tiger for the cold season. or someone actually buys it.
I told a couple people it's for sale for $5000 then I just spent
another $400 on 2 new Pilot Road 2 tires And EBC front brake pads. Let me know if interested in a very clean heated garage kept zx14 with a few miles on.
Off to work again....

Always enjoy your posts, Spence. Got my riding career started in Central PA when I went to PSU so lots of familiar roads. Surprised there are still so many leaves on the trees.

I had most of today with nothing that had to be done and was looking forward to get out for some leaf peeping but wet roads and light drizzle hear so far.
clean bikes, for now , but getting cabin fever.
So here are a few shots of the leaves in my very very local area for anyone thinking of riding this way this week end.

I think he said this was a 66, feel free to correct me
If so I year older then me.
Only 12 feet and 42 years apart.
