Last i knew it was not done, but it's been awhile since i looked. There is a little detour around it I've been on from 973 that just dumps you on 87 a more mile or so north of the bridge.

My friend Vince had the day off and I was home so we got to gather for a "most of the day" ride before the Monster Storm gets here.
Decided on a destination ride, made a trip to Eurosports in Coopersburg. I've been on there website but never there before. Vince met me in Turbotville then out 80-81-309.
attempt at some fall picks before we get started.
Vince on the move.
partner in crime for the day.
setting outside in front of Eurosports when we got there. Most of today's pictures are from here. They have a lot of cool stuff to look at.
They had this one under glass.
RSVR4'S in white or factory. $22,000 for this one.
another one of my personal favorites for a short twisty ride bike.
The showroom.
some more overhead
including one of these.
then we walked through another door and found this.
The Brammo people just happened to be there on tour, trying to set up a dealer network. They had 4 of there electric bikes there for the employees to
test ride. Vince did try to get a ride out of them but no go. We did get to hear them come and go...well sorta.. if no one was talking and the wind wasn't
blowing.... Talked to the one sales guy that rode one and he said he had it up to 80-90mph and they claim to be able to go 80 mph for 80 miles on a charge.
Can be yours for around $11,000.
skinny suckers. The other model they had there had more of a sportbike seat on it and you could see the batteries on the side.
after we were done sight seeing we went just done the street and ate in this diner, Good food. looked like really good desserts as I watched Vince eat his, being to
full to try my own.
After we left there we just rode. Went up 378 -22 Then started to try to follow 191 north. Somehow we lost 191 and found ourselves circleing a high school just as school left out
and kids walking all over the place. Yep as Vince put it This dosen't look good
Ended up on 33-209-80 Then up 115-209 and made our way up to 118 for some "spirited riding toward home". A little over 300 mile ride. Nice day even though we never saw the sun.

I'm guessing that there is some poker run type version of this, but today I combined riding and shooting.
My sister-in-law and wife asked me if I could shoot sister's new gun, and the sun was out for a nice riding day so packed up target and all, off to a family farm
then a nice 90 mile ride.

Nov days don't get much better in Pa then this.
Had a couple hour window before getting ready for another work week so I met my friend John for a little dirt riding. Rode out 44 to Elimsport then went straight at the stop sign instead
of turning right toward 554, Went a few more miles then started following random dirt roads.
The meet.
our surroundings>
met some guys dragging trees out of the road.
Were I reached the end of my comfort zone with the Tiger and street tires. lol slimy mud under the leaves had me sliding around.
lucky I stopped because this is John coming back to tell me just down the hill around the corner there's a gate across the road.
It would have been ugly trying to get this back up the hill.
Just a little more gas John and it will come right out. haha
my "off road tires" after the ride.

Another nice riding day here and I couple free hours to take the tiger out and see what happens.
Started by going back to Elimsport and riding out Gap road and fourth gap road. I just kept going straight past where John and I turned off last week and ended up
on 880 out around Ravensburg state park.
These things are pretty active right now. A couple years ago I had one pull out of a field around a blind curve. They look really big and hard while taking up both lanes.
I went down 880 to E valley rd and white deer creek rd. and somehow ended up over aroun Raymond B Winter Park on 192.

What to do on Thanksgiving Day when the in-laws live 2 miles off rt 125, one of the best motorcycle roads in central Pa??
Step one, invite a friend to dinner.
well, at least we got him to wear gear...even trying out a tourmaster synergy heated liner today.
Step two, introduce Tim to dinner. lol
As it turned out there was plenty of food so all these critters enjoyed the day in the sun also. Took a ride up 81 to 901 from raven, then up 42 toward home.
The Turbotville camels were all right out by the road when we left, but no such luck on the way back when I had the camera ready.

Well my friends ended up with some surprise obligations, so I would go on this ride alone. I have often gone by Hermy's in the truck
and have at least one friend that bought a bike there but today was the first I was ever in the place. Cool bikes to look at and a lot of nice gear.
My main objective was to see if they had any Gerbing pants liners to try on for size. They did and with there black friday %25 off sale I should be able to ride in single
digits this winter. lol
heard two guys discussing the need to buy a Triumph motorcycle as a reason to wear the cool Triumph clothes.
The more I look at these Triumph Scramblers the more I think I need to try one.
The "other room" full of bikes that I would have missed if It wasn't for overhearing a salesman tell someone else about it.
Still like the looks of this bike but after setting on it I'm wondering if I'm...ummm...to old for it now.
this big place was out on 895 which I took back to 501 then up 125 toward home, not sure what it was. One sign did say temple something.
A little relaxing spot in Pine Grove
and todays old truck pic. 4000 miles in this would make a long long week.

Time to put the big ugly winter shield on. Doesn't look pretty but sure makes a difference in the cold.
And a look at how much bigger this thing is then my summer shield.

Nothing to exciting, but I am amazed how enjoyable and comfortable Nov-Dec rides can be when your riding with Gerbing.
Friday evening went out and rode around for over 100 miles mostly after dark and today was out for about 150. Can't wait to try this set up
when it gets colder. Haven't been up toward Eagles Mere and Worlds End for awhile so went that way today. some time ago someone asked if the bridge on 973
was open yet at 87. Probably old news now but I did notice that it is open now.
The Turbotville camel on the way out of town...Looks like we could come up with three camels I bet three wise men would be harder to come by here.
my big ugly windshield from the seat.
looks fast anyway.
did go north enough to see a little of this. with Tue calling for close to 60 should be gone soon.

An unexpected short week left me with another riding day. Made a 200 mile ride out of going out to Kissells in State College and wonder around after dark looking at some
Christmas lights.
A sidecar to match the Tiger?
Never got into dirt bikes but I never heard of the Italian company Beta which makes $9-$10,000 off road bikes.

Spence I just rolled thru ur whole post, great pics
Some answers for ur questions
Ur ride to Coopersburg - that HS that U got stuck at was Nazareth HS - (U should have made a left 2 stop signs before the school
)
Temple on 895 is a Indian temple - I'm pretty sure.
125 is a great road, I need to swing further NW from Shamokin to get to ur roads. (as my friend Blanco says - there's no reason to go to Shamokin)
Stay safe

Thanks for your input and info.
We did manage to get back on the right road after the HS with out getting Questioned.
The temple had some signs with words I couldn't read. And I can't argue with Blsnco's statement on Shamokin. lol

I would have liked to get out today it was so nice here, but work got in the way so just another brief gear break.
I recently learned that there are some options for buying gloves that are designed to work well with heated grips, winter type gloves but with a thinner palm for better
feel and more heat getting through. Since I love my Held gloves I decided to try Helds Warm and Dry gloves on sale at motorcyclegear but still pricy enough that you have to
want them.
Hope to get out tomorrow and try these things out.

I only got out for 70 miles today in low 40 temps but I think I am going to really like these gloves. They definitely let the heat from the heated grips get to your hands,
and the backs of your hands stay warm, and there still thin enough I can work the buttons on my camera. My other held gloves pictured below have some perforated holes between
the fingers and aren't to bad as long as you keep your hands wrapped around the grips at all times. The Warm and Dry Gloves will keep hands much warmer even off the grips. My only
complaint, for a cold weather glove . I wish the gauntlets were bigger to go over layers. I think I can work around it. They may have to go inside one of my jackets.

Just a couple from today"s ride. Started out toward Benton on 254 and then just started taking random roads for awhile until I ended up on 442.
I did find today's old truck equipped with chain for Christmas tree duty.
still practicing the point and shoot.
Whats with all the ice on the ponds???
"And you think I'm funny looking"
I did end up on one dirt road that turned into this wet red slime It was slippery and I was glad to get off of it in one piece.

We are taking some time off for Christmas and this looked like the best day to get out for a half a day ride so I went and had a great ride.
Picked this place out from the computer some time ago but didn't ever go find it. So off to Northern Light Espresso bar, 536 Spruce St. Scranton.
will go explore this building across the street after lunch and a drink.
several pre-made salads to pick from, pretty good though.
Spent some time walking around the grounds here , it was really enjoyable, they had Christmas Music playing over the whole block.
Today's old truck sighting
after I was done in Scranton I went north up to 6, then over to 92 and 292 , ended up on 29 over around Harveys Lake and
back across 118 towards home. Ended up being out for 5 1/2 hours and close to 230 miles in mid to low 30"s.
After I put all my gear back on and got plugged in again I looked down and saw this just out of reach. I know my wife would have got back off to get it.

After taking the Rc51 out yesterday and realizing that there was a lot of snow and the driveway will not allow another ride in 2012,
I decided to close out the year and prepare for the new 2013 riding season. Which will hopefully start next weekend. My wife thinks it's strange
to care or keep track, but I find numbers interesting.
So here goes for 2012 Rochele rode her 696 4641 miles. I rode the ZX14 3650 miles and the Tiger 7793 miles
for a 2012 total of 11,443 miles. I noticed as I was writing this in the little black book that my 2011 numbers were zx14 3712, Tiger 7527, for a 2011 total of 11,239.
Even our birds decided winter was going to be so short, they would just wait it out.
