Thanks on the pictures. I hope to add some this weekend and take the time to take more when I ride and post them here.

Where exactly in Central PA are you? Truly "central" like Centre County?

I tell people Williamsport area because Turbotville means nothing to most people. We still don't have our first red light.

Yeah...I typically say State College since Stormstown is a mere "village." Cablebandit's uncle is in Montgomery.
We sure are lucky to have some really great roads here in Central PA. If you ever get over this way, you *must* check out Marengo Road...it's a lovely little stretch practically in our backyard.
I've enjoyed your pics...thanks for sharing.

Not sure if its ok to just add to a "riding around home" type thread, so I guess I will until I'm scolded and corrected
But here are a few more pictures.
Thanks for sharing and the food looked good! What was the name of that place?

We get down to state college to take our bikes to Kissels. About a month ago we went and rode into college Ave for a couple hours while they were working on my bike. Will have to look for that road next time.

Its an old railroad station in Tamaqua. I drive by it in the truck and didn't realize they had food until we were down there on the bikes. It's on rt 309, on your right going south, between rts 81 and 78.

This is another little ride I took about a month ago out on 118 around Ricketts Glen. They have what they call the Falls Trail which I didn't hike up this day but just wondered around a little. True story; last time I hiked up there I had asked my 50-60 year old mom if she wanted to go for a little ride and hike on a nice day. We made it clear to the top then it just poured down rain for the whole walk back. Me back at the bike looking at my drenched mom "well mom do you want to wait for it to stop raining or ride back home" She chose to ride.
Not the Tiger this time but my other ride 07 zx14 now with 30000 miles on it.

Rickett's is about a 40 minute drive. Great place to spend a day.

Took another "ride about" Today on the tiger
Started out just a few miles from home while taking this picture a guy pulled in on his dr650 to ask a few questions about the Tiger. Turned out to be a nice 57 year old guy who lives about 5 miles from me. both he and his wife ride mostly dual sports, His dr had over 40000 miles on. Is it just me or do you meet more cool people riding a motorcylce.
and yes I do always ride at this speed....almost always....ok sometimes.
rode up rt 42 into Eagles Mere
Then across 154 over to Worlds End State Park in Forksville, this is one of our weekend rides we do often but I haven't been up since all the flooding you may have heard about.
I was surprised to see the damage and debris on this bridge
This is a section of 154 between the park and 87 would be quite the surprise at night if you didn't know.
but the covered bridge made it
up 87 to Dushore then back down 87 which really got hit hard with the flood and just destroyed some of the road. Still has road closed signs but you can ride down to 180.
And ended with our Saturday night biker hangout in Williamsport. Mostly a sportbike group but others show to Sat nights about sunset, we have had as many as 20 bikes, sometimes only a couple but its nice to hang out with friends and talk bikes and riding. stop in if you find yourself in the area. lol

Can't believe the damage on 154
Glad the covered bridge remains!
Looks like the weather has been perfect for riding - hoping it holds out for my next regularly scheduled work trip to NYC (and the Saturday I have free
).

This week-end looks pretty bad around here, rainy and lucky to get into the low 50s for the next 2 days.
Today I got out just for a short ride to try out my new windshield. Tigers are known to have alot of wind noise, many have tried many different windshields with not much help so when I saw good reviews on this one I thought I would try it. It was way bigger then i pictured but works as advertised. Now I can hear more sweet triple engine noise and less air, but the only question is it to big and ugly. hmmmm
A couple on the move shoots on rt 554,our mini local deals gap. lol
just seemed right on such a gloomy day.

That does seem like a big windscreen, but Hey!, it works. That's what's important. Thanks for sharing the pics,

Then I made a stop at Bob Logue's Honda shop. If you like some older bikes especially hondas this is worth a stop to check out his little collection, free and in the back of the dealership. here are just a couple pictures from here.
After Bobs I rode north on 973 and 44
and bonus points if anyone knows where this is.

Just perfect Oct weather in Pa this weekend. Yesterday four of us took a nice ride between Williamsport and Carisle, which ended up being a 235 mile ride for me start to finish. Some of the roads we too were 45 out of Lewisburg to 235 south ,which is a nice road,35, 333, 74-another really nice road for motorcyles. across 944 to 34. Back up 15 to 104, and then worked our way back up to williamsport for our saturday night hang out. Only took a couple pictures mostly enjoyed the riding.

Today started out pretty foggy but then
beautiful. Another ride with some friends before going back to work.
the meet.
Kevin I think they became friends , if you loved your zx10 you would take one home.
some point and shoots from the ride
Kevin turned up 22000 miles on this bike this weekend
our fearless leader for the day Eric
And that's it till next weekend. If only this weather would stay till Christmas

That's too funny. When the wind gets in that jacket, it makes me look like the Stay Puff guy. lol But hey, I was warm.
And that's a negative about taking a scooter home for my 10. hahah
