Riding with Spence

  Just a couple pictures from today's 140 mile ride, including the last 25 miles in 30 degrees under a stary sky.

 It's been awhile since I had the zx14 out. Forgot how much I like the sound of it over 7000 rpm.

   


   


 

       It matches my bike perfectly.  

 


    Rode down to Ravine pa and 125 and meet Rochele on the way home. 125 still some cinders but better then I thought it would be.

Had a great day today. Went by one bank that said 80 degrees.    Meet up with my friend Vince for some riding that included 125 and other roads.

 After riding with Vince we separated so he could meet the family for supper and I had a text from my friend Christina (we call her our grown daughter that we will never have, lol) wanting her first ride of the season, so before we rode up to starbucks bike night we had just enough daylight to take some pictures which I promised to do about a year ago. Christina is a teacher and we thought it would give her some "cool "points with the class.

   and then we decided that her eyes match the zx14, so I'm thinking at some point she will just have to buy my zx14. lol

  At tonight's starbucks bike gathering must have been 15-20 of us and nice enough to set out side again.

   Truck issues resulted in us coming home early this week, so I decided to ride down to Harrisburg DMV to get my Truck registration. It was pretty nice being there on a Thursday
 It only took them about 3.5 minutes to take my $1673 and give me my card and little sticker.

  Another great March day in Pa.  Started by going to visit my Truck issues that brought me home early.









  Then off for some two wheeled therapy































  then met up with the wife







  And ended the day with some friend time.   Had to keep reminding myself it was March, I should not be riding in a t shirt with no heated gear under my jacket and be warm,

           But I Like It!!

Cool pics Spence, thanks for posting them. I didn't like the look of those truck repair pics,   that looked expensive. Sorry to see that. Your wife's gear looks neat, I especially think the whole skull thing gets some cool points when you see that one side of her helmet is scuffed.   Take it easy and enjoy the weather,

  Lol scraperman, I had a transmission problem so came home to my cousins garage then discovered both rears that have 1.4 million miles on were finally on there way out.  Then yesterday I also met with accountant to do 2011 taxes . all in all a financially brutal 4 days!!  Could put I guy in a really bad mood, but I'm trying to look at the positive: I drove it home with out needing an expensive wrecker, get the work done at home, and it was nice and 75 degrees for 2 days in march.

  and yea Rochelle thought she was really cool when we gave her a head start down 87 from worlds end and told her we would catch her. I told my friend John that she would ride a lot faster just because she knew we were chasing her. Knowing her for awhile, about half way down I started to think she did the park and hide thing,about 5 miles before 180 we finally caught her behind a line of traffic. She was so proud of herself........and a little bit annoying.

  Tiger ready to go with 2 fresh pilot road 3 tires (last set lasted 8000 miles) and a new chain and sprockets to match my other bike.

Yesterday afternoon went for a ride with some friends. Started about 2 gathering up everyone from 4 meeting locations giving us a total of 9. We then played on 125 for awhile and separated and headed north in varies ways in smaller groups. Made a stop at home to give a friend a ride up to our usual Saturday night starbucks hangout with 10-15 people. It was a fun day.


 










   There must have been 5 gopros on the ride. below hopefully will be an example of part of 125 with camera aimed back.

Another fun afternoon of riding down in the 125 area. meet some new guys, saw some neat bikes, and only had 3 miles of light sprinkles getting back home.

  Just sharing some spring fever pictures with my wife's Duck. This is a 2011 696 and it's about ready for its 7500 mile service. Out of the 6 bikes she has owned I would say she's more excited about this bike then anyone before.

  And then in the afternoon met Wife and her sister Angie to take Angie for a ride. It may take one or two more rides to convince her to go bike shopping.

 Looks like Rochele and I will be riding to Kissels in state college tomorrow, probably late morning or early afternoon, to drop off her 696 for its 7500 mile service. Back again the next Friday to pick it up. Will be on the tiger just in case anyone else is out that way.

Wave as you go by CPI.  They'll be a dozen of us there getting MSF ARC certification.

   What and where is CPI? is that an advanced or instructor course of some kind?

CPI is the school off 99 at Harrison road.

ARC is the new MSF advanced rider course. We'll be getting certified to teach it this weekend.

  Cablebandit, hope you guys did well and had fun today.  It was a pretty windy ride out today.

 Lunch at a local spot Foxes is off the Halls Pensdale exit of 180 around Muncy pa and is known for there good food and bakery .
