The BF and I did a out east trip on the bikes a couple of years ago. I really don't know why everyone raves about riding out east. It takes forever to get anywhere half decent, dead friggin boring most of the way, whether you are on the TCH or secondary roads, the campgrounds are kinda expensive, fuel more so and the gd firewood at the provincial parks is always to wet to fire.
Yes,ok, riding the Cabot is nice, but you can ride it both ways in a day pretty much( or is it 2, I don't remember) anyway whatever. I can spend a day riding down to WV ect and ride twisty's for hours on end, better weather, cheaper everything. I hardly ride in my own country anymore,it's boring. Am I awful for saying that?
It's like The Arrogant Worm's song...Trees and rocks and rocks and trees.......and water! ( A great canadian parody band, the wolfe island ferry song is funny as hell) He wants to do Gros Morne park next year......ummmm.......I just want to go explore the twisty roads in Kentucky maybe or somewhere around there....North Georgia?.......Anyway......

Yes, you're right - there isn't anything out here worthy of seeing. Can you do us all a favour? Help spread the word so we don't have to bother with your kind.

I read a lot of reports from trips to my area that have the same verdict: nothing to see, nothing to do, miles between anything worth looking at.
There's great riding up here, but even
we
hate the TCH. NB is a great province, but you can't see any of it from the 1 or 2.
Sorry it rained.

Yup, nothing to see or do or ride. And, I can't wait to come back. I'll skip the Gaspé Peninsula next time and ironbutt my way to Saint John, then slow down and enjoy the ride. On my list are going back to PEI in sunshine and riding the west end of the island, riding the east coast of Nova Scotia from Halifax down to the southern tip and maybe going over to the eastern coast of Cape Breton.
Thanks for bumping this.
