It had been washed only 24hrs prior.
Should have been your first clue that rain was imminent.
I got the pig inspected today. It's gorgeous outside.

Awesome day of riding. Started out with a 90 mile ride to Ephrata for breakfast at the American Legion (happens the 1st Sunday of each month in nice weather). After eating, I spent about 45 minutes checking out the incredible variety of bike/trikes/other that always show up. Followed that up with a 170 mile ride to get home. Found some INCREDIBLE PA back roads!!!! Furnace rd, near Airville for one.
The return trip included passing Three Mile Island.
Also found another motorcycle (biker) get together at the Union Hotel. Amazing the difference between this event and Ephrata. At Ephrata it was interesting to note that the HD/biker folsk stood out, but you did not think twice when seeing some one with a dayglow green jacket like mine or a Areostitch full suit; they just blend in. The folks at Union Hotel on the other hand. I was the only person there with hiviz and everyone I saw was drinking. They were friendly enough and it is just about the right distance for a pit stop (bathroom and a bottle of water), but anyone with actual riding gear stands out.

I was Lazy Saturday.
Slept in late, made a big breakfast, drank coffe and surfed the net, and finally went out riding at 2 PM. Didn't get home 'til 9 PM.
It was 7 PM and I was in Renovo. I was thinking, should I take a run up 144 or get my ass on the road to home?
I took the run up 144.

I enjoyed a fantastic day out riding yesterday with a great group of friends. We rode up to Port Jervis, across Hawks Nest, 590, 390 and back into Jersey around Round Valley. We took a little break when a storm cell passed through but stayed somewhat dry, enjoyed plenty of laughs and blew the carbon out.
Start of the day
Somewhere in North NJ
Hawks Nest. Still working on the wall
One of the young guys had a mishap. He decided to lowside into a ditch. Good thing it didn’t take away from his bike’s great looks!
Him explaining how it went down! Haha. Glad he had a sense of humor about it. Full leathers, no injuries, bike still looks the way it did before the crash is a win!
Round Valley.

Had a great ride today about 6 hours worth in the middle of the state of Pa route 641 great ride up & down the mountain route 103 west along the Juianta River was great new asphalt to most of the way to lewistown. Route 333 south really tight corners. route 74 south lots & gobbs of twisties. route 944 west dips, hills & even more turns with new asphalt once again then a nice cool down in the shade south on route 233.
