but I was out on the bike last night...Mrs OSJ was a little worried for me being out in the dark so late in December Seeing the weather will be changing shortly, and I hope to be out in this I figured I would try and get one last ride in this season? I went in search of a few tags.   I was looking for a tag that starts with E. So when riding thru Sterling I figured I would ride thru a cemetery and see if someone has an interesting Epitaph. I saw a few while slowly riding around but than this one caught my eye  I rode around the other side and look what I see..  I didn't know Donald but seeing we shared the same wind in the face I felt I should leave a little something to thank him for allowing me to use his final resting place. I took off the key chain TSI gave me when I turned in my tour card a few years ago and left it for him.  It was cold but I was only a few miles away from home. It was so nice seeing all the houses lit up with Christmas lights as I rode my trusty KLR back home. Could this be the last ride of 2012? Not sure, but if it was I can honestly say its been a GREAT year! |

I was out for a couple hours today checking out my gerbings and other gear to make sure everything was working correctly.
Heading from PA to WV tomorrow for the region 6 6th annual winter meet. I'll make sure we post pics from there..
Some of you other region 6 hardcores should attend.. We always have a good time.

It's been a while since I've been out but I got in a local favorite 65-mile ride twice over the weekend - sorry no pics, you'll just have to take my word for it! Saturday it was 52 degrees in the middle of the afternoon and yesterday it was 32 degrees when passing the same point at the same time. Both days were beautiful and sunny here in western Pa - there's something really refreshing about riding in the middle of the winter and seeing the sun sparkle on the roadside creeks that are usually hidden by foliage..... and heated gear makes it actually enjoyable even on my naked Uly  |

been two weeks of below freezing weather with a few dinky snow events thrown in. I figured today would be the day to take the KLR out..however woke up to a little dusting on the roads. So I started the day with a walk down our local rail trail.  Then visited with Mrs. OSJ at my office for a little while, before I headed out for a two hour ride.    |
