I wouldn't be so sure - the Freeride already has a place on the KTM US website, though no content is listed yet.  http://www.ktm.com/us/freeride.html

I'm looking forward to the e-bike version, which is what began the Freeride concept.

Still wishing this bike would come stateside.

The 450X, all 37 hp of it, was too much for my skill level in the woods.  Spent too much time trying to keep the bike under control.  I was smoother and more relaxed on the XL600R.  I like the excellent chassis and suspension of the 450X that the XL didn't have, and a e-start.  Just didn't need the power for my purposes.  Wanting an EFI woods bike too.

No idea why KTM is holding back in the USA market.
