Father forgive me...but I've done something and it feels so...right...and wrong at the same time.
I...I washed my bike.
Well, spritzed it down with Quick cleaner and gave it a quick polish.
I feel...well, I don't know these feelings. I haven't washed a bike in 50,000 miles!

But man doesn't it look even prettier now?
In all seriousness, washing it helps maintain it which is a big deal when you eventually sell.

Agree with AT.
For me washing and keeping my bike looking as new as possible is therapy.
For a Ducati Monster, I believe that's a requirement.

Sweet
Just curious, how much excess stator power does the Monster have? I checked my quad cree T6 LEDs with an ammeter and they pull about 5.5 Amps combined on full (about 70 watts). The china LEDs seem to pull more AMPs then what they are advertised at, just an FYI.

Monster has a 350 watt generator.
In other news, I'm running the 1800 lumen lamps, not the 3000 lumen lamps you are. I went that route intentionally due to the smaller generator.
Here's the current count:
Heated Vest: 30 watts (55 w/ sleeves) - full heat troller control
Heated Grips: 40 watts at full - adjustable in 4 stages
Radar Detector: 10 watts?
Garmin Nuvi: 5 watts
20 Watt Foggies: 40 watts (*list) - adjustable in 10 stages
USB Recharger: 5 watts.
Total output at max: 130 watts (155 watts w/ sleeves)
I checked full output with one lamp: I was still charging at 14.1 watts at idle. I should be ok with two lamps, or so I hope! At the least, 4,000 rpm should charge just fine.

Yeah - I was just pointing out mine draw more than advertised; would no be surprised if the others were the same. If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, this is a handy tool
