2007 MV Agusta F4 1000R+1 *WI* (Sold)

I bought this bike earlier this year because it was pretty and I thought I wanted a race bike.  I have realized that this is more bike than I want and need, and I'm looking to get a "slower" city bike instead.

About this bike:  It has the expensive pieces you would expect on a motorcycle that was originally $23k.  It has radial Brembo calipers, aluminum 320mm Brembo discs, radial caliper struts, Marzocchi forks, forged aluminum Brembo wheels, a stock Arrow exhaust (by the way, it really does sound incredible), etc etc.  Speaking of exhaust, if you want to get an idea of the exhaust sound, here’s a great YouTube video: http://youtu.be/yU5FnNno17Y  - this isn't my video, I don't rev my bikes like this in neutral, but there are plenty of people on YouTube who will    Plenty of Region 4 folks can vouch for how clean this bike is.

I'm willing to entertain trades + cash.  I'm particularly interested in clean examples of: Ducati Hypermotard (any year/model/color), KTM Superduke (any year/color), Triumph Street Triple (any year/model/color).

I know, I know.  I just don't like the inline-4 thing.  It's not practical, and (as all of region 4 knows) - I travel too much to be able to use it.

Having seen it / followed in it's wake during a mostly flower-sniffing ride in south - central Wi, I can attest to the fact that it's "sex on two wheels..." incarnate.  

Not a riding style that fits me...but pure sex appeal with an internal combustion engine!

Bike is gone tomorrow morning    I would love to keep it, but I'm not home enough to ride it.  I'm going to downsize to something I can throw around in tight corners and push hard off the track.  The MV has too much power for the street, and I don't have time (read: I don't do a good job of making time) for the track.

Yeah, it's been on the market for a bit.  I wasn't really trying to sell it, just reposting on CL a few times while travelling.  Honestly, the market is crap for nice race bikes right now (that isn't a Ducati, and even then it's not great).  If you're selling a BMW tourer, the market is fine; it's just that the type of people who buy sportbikes aren't usually the type of folks who can afford Agustas.

Ched - I'll take you up on that.  What are you listing it for - $500? $600?

I'd have made an offer on it, but all I have to offer is a 2000 Ducati 996 and a 2010 Genuine Lil Buddy (Blackjack).  I doubt either would have been high on your list.  

It's not my bike and I'M already missing it...
