Boy - you've got some nerve to change the topic like that.

I vote we talk about favorite campfire songs.

Apologies for going on topic. Would someone have some gpx files for routes from Central Pa to Boyer area, avoiding 4 lane roadways? Also avoiding any routes known to be haunted by the supernatural phenomena described above.
I'm messing around with the new to me Zumo 550 and I'd like to see what others have put together based on knowledge of the roads between here and there.

TIA

You could head to Everett, PA take 26 south into MD, head west on Scenic 40/141 to Flintstone, south on Town Creek Rd (name?) to Oldtown, cross the low water bridge, continue south to route 50 in Romney, 50 west to Mt Storm, 42 south to Maysville, Jordan Run Rd, 55 toward Petersburg (short), Smoke Hole Rd to Upper Tract, 220 south to Franklin, 33 west to 28 at Judy Gap, south to Boyer Station. Nice mix of roads if you enjoy some back roads with your state highway sweepers.

I'd make one minor mod to that route...  Burn a left in Springfield and take that road all the way to either 29 and go south to 50 or all the way to Capon Bridge where it hits 50.  Little farther west than necessary but Springfield Grade Road / Co Rt 3 / Slanesville Pike is a hoot if you have time for a minor delay.

I would like to join all you but i would need to find a bike to ride. Does any one of you leave the keys in the ignition over night?

It would be nice to sit around the camp fire and drink everyones elses beer. Why should i buy beer if i can steal it from you.

And this ConPiloit guy sounds like a real piece of work.

As long as you promise to wear your 'Stich, I'll see about helping you get Conpilot's bike. We'll get him good and drunk all f-ed up on the nip and you can steal his keys.

That's what I normally do  Thumbsup, but left it off the route because I didn't know how long a day the OP was looking at/for.

Or make a right in Springfield, heading toward Fort Ashby and make a left onto Patterson Creek Road
and take that all the way to 42 and Petersburg. At least you'd be heading in the right direction.

I'll have to try Grade Rd, etc. when I have the time.

Chili-Man, if you can flat foot the Wee I'll leave you the keys but otherwise you'd have to ride bitch. Be careful about that because I might drag you around 18 states. Wanna go for a ride? Bigsmile

...a long ride.

I might have a back seat open for a ride to Nova Scotia in June.  Wanna go?  Canadian beer, fresh mussels and seafood on me.

Thanks for the offer and i do like Canadian beer but I've had a few problems in Canada and they might not let me over the border.

Just make sure you leave the keys to a well-appointed Wee or FJR in return and I'm good with that.  Thumbsup Lol
