It's an overcast dreary morning here in the Piedmont area of NC.  My office faces north and I'm high up enough to see some of the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains.  I can't help but think that I'll be riding that way in just over a week.

It's like the mountains are saying, "see you in a week!"  I can't wait, it's been too long since I've done a road trip.  I'm not able to ride as much with the new job.  The plus side is, it appears I appreciate riding much more than before.

One week and one day and I'll be on the road.  I am officially getting excited for this one.

Shush you! If they know you are coming they will break out in snow!

I think I'll be having subway.

You're in luck! There's one only 18 miles from the campground.

The beauty of Subway is you can pick it up and just stash it in your bags for later.

Put it in your tankbag.  If the weather improves it will be toasted by the time you eat it.

The last time I went to WV was 2006. My Ducati was brand new and I dropped it twice that first day. Fast forward to last summer and I crashed and totaled the Ducati. Now I got a used BMW and a new collar bone and looking forward to returning to WV. Too much time has gone by.

I did a dual sport ride with Garry and a few of his 'Burg friends a few years back.  His buddies put a Subway sub in their tail case and about 1/2 way thought the ride, they were annihilated.  The sandwiches looked like salads with bread.   Lol   Of course, this was done on some of the best fire roads in the Laurel Highlands and not on some well paved country road.

Isn't that what they look like normally?  See, you put it in the tailpack.  You need to keep them closer to the bikes CG.  Less motion.

Ben there done that.

On trips I'll pick up a sub and then find a park or roadside table to eat lunch. By the time i find a place The bread has become a little moist and can be a little sloppy to eat.

Next time ask for toasted roll with extra cheese, no mayo, no oil & vinegar.  Cheese melts & helps hold it all together.

I think I'm going to pick up a pack of hot dogs, some rolls & a bottle of mustard; roast some weenies around the campfire.

I'm hoping to scarf some left-over Bananas Foster for desert. Thumbsup
