Cablebandit, thanks for the offer but I'm not sure I can face the 5:30 AM wakeup call I'd need to get to your place by 7:30.  That's only a couple of hours after I generally get to bed.  Have a safe and fun ride down and I'll see you and Beth there.

You're more than welcome to join us for breakfast at Mamie's in Martinsburg, PA @ 10:00 AM.
( SE corner intersection of 866 & 164 )

Afterwards we'll be riding some of the best roads the area has to offer on the way to Boyer's.

This, on the other hand, is a time frame I have a shot at making.  My tentative solo route down was going to pass right by Mamie's, so I should be able to see you et al. there at 10:00.

What do you have in mind for the rest of the route down to Boyer?

Speaking of alcohol, I need to stop at the State Store for a pint of Sambuca.

Hopefully getting decent beer isn't a problem down there.

Plan ahead. Seriously. The general stores at Seneca Rocks (both of them) have a good beer selection. The liquor store in Marlinton (north end of town) has a decent selection too. I doubt there is anything decent close to Boyer, so you'll have to leave room for a six pack in your luggage.

I left work early today, made the trek north to get my KTM out of hock, drove 2+ hours home, ran to a sportsmans club meeting, then took the bike out for a short 30 mile shakedown ride. Started hard and ran like crap when I first fired it up at home. I was VERY concerned. Turned the idle up a bunch (back to normal) and now it seems good. I'm just going to change the oil tomorrow and do the water pump rebuild next week when I have more time. The guys at the shop aren't convinced I have an issue because there is no sign of oil in my coolant overflow tank. I guess I'll know more tomorrow at the oil change when I can see the filter...

I'll just buy whatever's on the shelve. I'm not particular.

Yeah, I wasn't kidding.  We really are coming down with the camper and the dogs.  I'll try to remember to bring the air compressor and some tools and maybe the ramp and some tie downs just in case.  Without bikes and with all that hardware, maybe I can have some value as basecamp support.  And if you bring cookie ingredients, I'm bringing a kitchen.   Bigsmile

Sorry I missed this! I'll add you to the list.

I'll finish packing in the morning.  I should roll out around 8AM and head towards Morganton, NC then zig zag may way to SE Virginia where I'll grab a hotel.  380 miles of NC, TN, and VA twisty goodness on tap tomorrow.

Can't             Wait

Crap Clay.  Sad

Sounds like what i had 4 weeks ago. I layed all day in bed and that seemed to help. I felt better the next day.

I'm not trying to talk you out of not coming.

Maybe a few doses of Founders will help.
