Alright I was going to post this up in the general section but since it's related to this deal I thought I'd keep it here.l

I was pissed tonight. Zumo power cutting in and out. I havn't used it in a while. Now I'm going to have to go buy a goddamn map just in case. That means my tunes on the way are sketchy too  Thumbsdown.

Clean the battery contacts and reseat the battery.  Clean the cradle contacts too.

Gotta check some wires tomorrow.

Plus, I went and bought a new Camelbak bladder because my old one is shot. Damn new bladder doesn't fit my old backpack case. Take it back, buy a new whole f*cking unit I guess.  Another 30 bucks to Mr. Dicks sporting goods and another trip up there.  Thumbsdown

Dumbasses made the new style bladders shaped like a football, old ones are tall and narrow.

Glad to see your having a good morning.  Lol

Now go have a cup of coffee.

Did the cradle contacts. I'll try the battery tomorrow. Guess I'll have to get my watch screwdrivers out for that one. I don't remember when I wired it, is that line fused??

Can't be the fuse because it's intermittent. Works and then doesn't. It's taken a lot of rain on the cradle, probably fossilized dust on it. Bottom contacts were green before I scrubbed them out.  Bigsmile

Wally Mart sells a bladder that fits the tall and narrow Camelbaks for about ten bucks.

??  What model Zumo do you have?  My 660 has a removable panel to access the battery and contacts.

Oww...temps in the mid-90's all weekend.  firedevil Bring your water-cooled vests! I'm not sure which is better? Rain? Or temps in the 90's? I'm not as old as some of you farts---yet---so I still like it on the cool side.  Razz

Wish I could leave today, but we've only got 2-1/2hrs to ride (the most direct way)...so we'll have a nice day just wandering aimlessly in that general direction.  Thumbsup

Now I've got to finish my shot list for a nose-mounted, gyro-stabilized, HD video shoot of the WVU campuses from a helicopter.  Bigok I've been stressing out trying to plan this for a decent day...looks like today will be as good as it gets for a while!

I'm headed in that general direction today, but with the wife and in a car.   We're doing DC as a couple that doesn't ride.  The sacrifices we make in order to do other upcoming trips.
