Ahhhh yes!! that's exactly what I've been thinking about doing Smeggy!

Thanks for those pictures. My fjr had a very similar thing on it stock and it worked quite well. Even a 200 dollar hugger isn't going to protect things much better...

That's great stuff man, I'll do something very similar Smile

Beat me to the suggestion, those flaps work, I ran into a deal on Ebay for my Hugger , which is the only reason I changed out. As you said , cheap they are not.

Heck yeah!  Every bike I've purchased since my K100RS has been about losing weight and gaining handling.  Over the years I went from 650# to about 430#...

Gotta love it.

Me too and have never been happier while riding!

I've just bought a pair of Givi V35's for my Versys. I've now got to order the SW-Motech q/r racks for my Gen2.
Whether I'll buy them before the summer (yeah, what summer ?) season is over or not I'm not sure. I could always
get them as a xmas prezzie.  Bigok

A dealer near my house has a 09, brand new with the color matched bags, for $5499. Thats a good deal, unfortunatly they don't seem to give good trade in deals.

If you're talking about Montgomeryville Cycle Center, I bought that very Versys at the end of January. It has 6600 miles on it now, and I'm taking up to northern Quebec (James Bay Road) next week!  Wink

Made a deal on a 2011 Versys.  Heading to Tennessee on Friday to pick it up.

Here are some pics from the seller.
