This is the CL--1030.  Excellent shape, comes with triple threat magnetic mounts.  New price for both parts is $90.  $75 shipped.

How well does it sit on the Versys?

That's what I bought it for.  Since the versys tank doesn't have much exposed metal on the sides, if  you want to use a decent size tank bag you need to connect on the front and back of the tank.  The rear magnets go rearward and to the side a bit.  I thought it worked well.  The versys is gone now so can't use this.  Thanks

I see you have the Magnetic mounts, would this set up work on an 08 KLR??

Buy the damn thing and find out!

Just kidding.  I don't have much knowledge about the KLR's tank layout.  I tried to find some pictures of the klr with tank bags on it from an image search and I am temped to say that it would fit but I don't want to give out bogus info.  If the tank has exposed metal forward and aft I would say that it would fit.

Andrew - not to step on swimmer's toes, but I'd have doubts about this working with the '08 KLR. Not because of mounting issues (hell, we have duct tape for that  Bigsmile ) but because of the awkward way the bag will sit on the steep slope of the tank.

But then again, I could be wrong and it would work just fine Shrug

Dan and I used the Wolfman tank bag, and you can see here how well they fit the hump:

Now, back to the classifieds... might I suggest showing this to the "new to touring" guy in the beginner's thread?  Cool
