I'm still planning on going but working out scheduling because we have something going on for the two days before it. Might end up driving up that morning.

I'm so stoked! Our route is coming together quite nicely thanks to CLAY, several Canadian ST.Ners, and two of my Canadian colleagues. We also made all of our hotel reservations this week.

Hmm.

Unlikely to happen, but definitely do-able one way easily in 1.5 days.

650 miles one way.

I rode 400 to Boyer without blatting an eye.

This would be a walk in the park for many of you.

I'm attempting to estimate costs.

1300 miles RT

Approx 4.6 tanks of fuel @ 7 gallons each considering 40 MPG, I usually do about 45 on the slab. (I usually fill up @ 5-5.5 gals)

say 50 bucks a day CONSERVATIVELY for food/snacks/drinks misc expenses  x 3 days on the road.

say 60 bucks twice during the trip for EconoLodge's along the way, 2 nights.

Hell, the ride through beautiful Toledo, Ohio is worth the trip alone.

Words' out that Clay is doing some work on the garage, installing a couple lights here and there and a new sound system.  Twofinger

This club light system is QUITE impressive.

Cookies?  Headscratch

I'll probably ship them ahead of time. I don't want to complicate our border crossing by declaring baked goods.

ETA: Which means maple-bacon-chocolate chip cookies are an option once more!

Cue sad trombone.

Since we're coming through Canada we'll have to leave the cannon/powder home.   Sad

Shipping ahead is good.  Time it well- self control is not my strong suit.   Bigok
