Any one do any offroading or go in the pond this year?

Nope, I wasn't there.

I'm glad to see you guys had fun out there.   I went out last night and gave my XX a nice coat of polish to make it faster n stuff.

What's the XX like on the track? Just made friends with one a few nights ago...

As for the trackday I missed, hoping to make one in a couple weeks, might be in Gingerman and not BFR....we shall see.  Getting the itch.  Sorry I missed you guys.

My wife also bought me for my birthday a 15 minute session in a Nascar.  3 hours of training, 15 minutes of riding, but I can't wait.  First time I'll actually RIDE a bike to the track!

  What a blast!

I have lots of thank you mentions to make, so here I go.  Thank you Bill, Matt, John, Mark, and Andy for joining me on the track for this day.  Thanks to Shannon, Katie, and Diane for spectating (including lap timing and photography).  Thanks to "Dirt Nap" (Fast Eddy on ST.N) for not only helping me on the track with my terrible lines, but supplying me with one of his race take-offs (rear).  Thanks to Andy for identifying the plug in my rear tire which was seeping Fix-a-Flat on the fender and swingarm (I had thought I had a leaky shock for a few months prior).  Thanks to Matt and John for extra fuel (the zx-9 is thirsty on the track!).  Thanks to Bill and Matt for following me and laughing at my squared off turning method!  Thanks to PJ (Patrick) for mounting that rear tire quickly and cheaply.  Thanks to John, Andy, and Eddy for the wheel removal and install so I could eat my lunch.  Thanks to Mark for skipping an afternoon session so we could get $20 photo CDs from Redline.

After all the help I received throughout the day, it was so fitting that when the Dunlop tire guy (PJ) had a dead car battery,  I was able to provide him with a jump with my minivan (I was the last rider to leave the track at 6:10 PM).

I felt slow and looked it in my photos.  I was too worried about leaning over (and low-siding) and, as a result, I look way too upright in Katie's pic of me (rear view).  This will serve as motivation for the next track day (hopefully in late June, for me) and the MANY improvements that I will make in the near future!

Absolute fun!  A near fantasy day, I had.  I will post up when I book my next one, and hopefully some of you will join me.

I will post some of my morning session photos which clearly show a squished 14 lb (by the second session) pressure rear tire.  It's no wonder a CR followed me off the track to say something to me.  It was moving all over the place in the turns!

LOOK AT THAT REAR TIRE!!     YIKES!  That will do little to inspire confidence in cornering!  See previous 2 posts for story on tire.

That's some low tire pressure. Glad it got sorted out before it sorted you out.

If you thought you were done spending money on this track day, check out these photos

I had a great day. I watch the go pro videos of myself riding every day now. I'm very narcissistic like that.  I'll try to put them together in some sort of youtubes format for all to see soon.  The videos are mostly of me passing Andy and then having him dive bomb me in the next corner.  Lol Stupid KTM supermoto riders.

Just checked out the Gron4 pics.  There's one with both of us Kris.  Last two of my set it looks like I'm passing a CR though I'm pretty sure I'm really cuting him off from getting underneath me Smile
Kris, our riding styles look pretty similar at this point in the season.  Not much hanging off going on in my pics but then...the more I hung off, the dizzier I felt.  Ha!
