Well, that's frickin' awesome!
Although when I saw the title of this thread I was thinking Stelvio.
Hope you like it as much as I like my Sport. These are great bikes.
Congratulations!

Congrats Bubba,
Norges are wonderful bikes, but don't forget to take off your centerstand and your sidestand, and then loctite the hell out of them. One or both of the stands will likely rattle loose with possible dire consequences. Don't baby it too much during the beak-in. You also might consider replacing the fuel filter. All these tasks are a pain-in-the-ass: must take off exhaust to remove sidestand and fuel filter inside tank, but, IMO, very worthwhile.
If your Norge is like mine, it will shift much easier as the miles add up, and it will run smoother too. Enjoy the bike, and keep us posted about it,
Jon

Here is a better one.
This is with the low seat, which is too low for me so prolly have to sell it. It also has the stock seat and I have no idea how day long worthy the stock seats are.
So much to learn and tinker with. Yeah

From your posts it sounded like you had it down to the Norge versus the Sprint GT. I wonder how the Norge got the nod over the triple? Was it to try something different, or maintenance, pricing, or the italian thing? Thoughts on your initial Guzzi experience?

Upgrade the springs, find an attractive and functional top box, get a set of Tuono mirrors, deal with the center stand clearance, and you should be pretty much done. There's not a lot of power left to be unleashed, but a nice slip-on can fully free up those mellifluous Guzzi tones.
And Rince, he probably went with the twin for the same reason I did...while the triple is a nice mill and has more "character" than an I4, it's just doesn't "stir the soul" like an Italian twin. That, and an 07 Goose is quite a bit cheaper (and cheaper to maintain in most ways) than a 2011 Sprint GT. And he probably likes the shaft.

You shouldn't presume about Bubba's orientation.
Yeah those are reasons that bring me back to thinking about Guzzi's too. What I'm not crazy about is the laundry lists that people seem to always post after someone buys one. But I'm in agreement on the vibrating twin, shaft-drive, soul-stirring and all that.

I've done sleepovers at Bubba's house.
As far as the laundry list goes, it's no worse than any other ST bike, and better than many.

Snerk ...
He's a complicated man ... But no one understands him but his woman ... Shaft !
No not the shaft, I have no real issues with running a chain. It was down to the Triumph of the Norge Rince, the Triumph I know fairly well having owned the 955 and ridden a 1050. I like lots. But I have always wanted a Guzzi and I really want a simple bike to maintain just now. I always fondly recall my 87 R100RS. It was a great bike with too little power and weak alternator. But I loved doing maintenance on that bike. But in the end I just really like the look of the Guzzi and when I found this one at a very good price, I had to give it a try.
