It was news to me that Suzuki has not been importing these bikes anymore.  When did this happen?   EEK!

Did they ever bring them back after they stopped bringing in new bikes in 2010?

Wow.  I was aware they'd dropped the Gladiolus, but didn't know the SV was gone as well.

The Gladius was effectively the SV replacement. Too bad about that. IIRC, the 2009 SV650SF was the last SV in the US. It was a sweet little bike.

The Gladius is still alive and well in Canada...

Maybe they'll bring back an updated model for 2013.  Ya know something based off the new WeeStrom.... ;-)

Also looks like Canada gets the DRZ400SM,  and the old school SV650 to go with the Gladius.    That Gladius actually got very good reviews, really wasn't a step down from the original sv 650....personally I like the new style of the gladius, much more sylish.

Glad to hear it as we may have a Gladius in the house by the end of the day!  My wife fell in love with a used model that I spotted on a local dealer website.  She already went to have a look, and last I heard she's taking her bike over for a trade right now.

I was considering the Gladius as well, but ended up with the Versys.  I would probably been leaning more toward the Gladius if we could have gotten them in red like other countries.  It looks really nice like that.

My wife's gonna be bummed.  She loves the way the gladius looks and I think it was a factor to her wanting to learn to ride.
