firstgear laguna GPS tank bag

Hey guys, i just bought that tank bag. and i noticed that there are two fully detachable straps. i have no idea what those straps are for other than as a flimsy handle when the bag is not attached to the tank. it's not long enough to loop under the tank and be used as extra support. it's odd, i can't figure it out. if any of you have that bag, can you let me know?
thanks

Would it also convert to a back pack?
My Nelson Rigg tank bag came with the straps that would do just that.

nah its not the backpack straps. these straps are attached to the base where the magnets sit. not to the detachable backpack. i read somewhere that it's to help attach the bag to non-metallic tanks. but i have no idea how the straps could loop around cos it's rather short. so i'm not sure if it has other uses

Throw them away. You will soon realize what they were for.
