Pop on down to the corner of Moss and May streets. Face south down Moss and shoot me a pic. That building on your left was my former office and I do miss those blossoms about this time of year.

Sigh ...

This is as close as I got to May St. yesterday, Jim. Nippy 4 degrees but them blossoms are ready to pop.

None, no signs of spring anywhere around here.  Sure, it may be spring if you go by the calendar, but I've already shovelled the driveway twice today, and I'll probably do a third scrape this evening when I get home.  Normally I wouldn't care but we're in the process of moving right now.  Luckily we have until the end of the month and we don't have that much stuff.

First dresser Harley in the parking lot today. Still a great big pile of black snow there too, but with 20+ it's going fast! I'm not taking the Ninja out 'til the first rain washes all the poo off the roads though. Way too lazy to clean all the little hidden bits afterwards. Mind you, the dealer has a real sweet KLX250 on the floor with only 300km on the clock. Hmmm... I wonder what I could sell off?? THATS a real 'spring' bike!!

Got this all shovelled and now it's snowed again all afternoon!  We had no snow left before this and bikes had been out in numbers already.

Mrs. Black just came up and asked me where this is.

I said it was Saskatchewan.

She said we will never go there.

You can relax now.

Tis true. For the time being. This fall I will look for a deal and will pick up a lightweight DS. I am actually really taken with a DR350 but a Drz400 will do nicely. Not done in the dirt yet but finally accepted that the big trailie is not my preferred route.

The good news, the ice at the top of my driveway has disappeared-the bad news, it's been replaced by my annual mudbog.  Was out digging waterbars yesterday, hopefully that will shorten the mud season.  Although if it doesn't stop raining they won't make much of a difference.

Bubba, glad to see you're sticking to 2 cylinders.  Maybe one of these years you'll come over to the Italian darkside on a Duc!  Wink

Hey Colin !  Well I did own a Duc once. A 69 350 wide case. It was a great looking beast that was fun to ride.  I came very close to buying a new 82 900 SS in 83 even losing a damage deposit in the process and have flirted with such decisions often. As far as the evil Italian goes, I lust mightily for a 916. Silly in many ways as can you imagine my bulk ( let alone my knees  Crazy ) crammed into that thoroughbred ?   Yet I do want one. In the meantime, and until the daughter is well into her Master's I shall content myself with more pedestrian ( Pisano ) pursuits. Sigh.

Pouring rain here which is good as it is washing away the crap. It won't be long.  Bigsmile

I am headed to get the Guzzi in Canmore on the 19th and ride it home. I am beginning to worry.

No snow here Koot, pouring rain, but I can look up the mountain and see the snow line about 125 meters up. Also see cars with snow in town. Yesterday was warm and a burst (bloom?) of Motorcycles in Castlegar. This year, the first bike I saw was a white BMW 800GS ... first time it hasn't been a Harley.

Just now, noon, the snow is starting to turn to rain--"mixed rain and snow," as they say.  But earlier it was coming down heavily--"puking" in the local vernacular.

Oh, and I know about the weather in Castlegar--I  just returned from Toronto, and was delayed a day in Calgary due to "Cancelgar,s" weather.  Air Canada put me up in the Delta Hotel Calgary Airport, though, with food vouchers, so I can't complain too loudly (there was some confusion, though, as far as getting the hotel room...just as with ICBC, you sometimes have to refuse their first offer...).  Indeed, the 25-hour stopover gave me a chance to visit our own Zed and KLRChickee, who graciously invited me for an excellent dinner of prime Alberta steak.

Regarding the Guzzi retrieval...hope you're up for an adventure!

Me, I'm supposed to be doing an outdoor job the following week, for which I will need dry, warm weather...

It's been raining heavily all day and it just turned to snow!  Forecast doesn't look too good for the next week either.  Glad we got our move done in reasonably good weather.  If/when this ever clears up, you and L will have to visit.  Dogs are welcome of course.

It was good to see you!  Happy to hear you made it home at last.

I have been running errands this afternoon (in a car  Sad) and have seen a few snowflakes.  Miserable weather all day.

Good Luck!  It is awfully early for that ride over the Rockies - but who can blame you for wanting to pick up the bike!  A Thursday?!  If you were picking up on a weekend there'd be a chance of riding out to Canmore to say Hi
