Today was ~5c and clear, so I went for out for a romp on the Tuono.  Then got caught in a surprise blast of hail.  Stopped right then and there (well, not quite then and there, I gingerly backtracked a klick to a Tims!).  Had a surprise ejection on the Tuono last year riding through hail I didn't know had recently fallen, so yeah, I'm a bit paranoid. Smile

Didn't last long, and melted off not long after I finished my coffee, sun was back out, and I got another fun couple hours in.   Was also a charging system test to see if the 400W Tuono could support my heated liner, gloves and grips.  No worries there.  Also put a ZG touring screen on (it's not actually ugly, believe or it not) that helps more than I thought it would.

Also installed a Powerlet outlet and my Ventura rack and 96L of soft luggage is coming in next week.  Did what I said I wasn't going to do, turning the Tuono into something I could actually do more than a weekend on.  I have a feeling that the Sprint won't see much use this year.

Did you get lucky and get that truck out? Though it was already luck it didn't go further down the bank!

Croak, I got caught in that same dump of wet snow, sleet and hail. I was riding along SE Kent to avoid the traffic on Marine. Fortunately, at sea level nothing was sticking to the tarmac.

I have been such a wimp since I bought the TT. I might get 2 days a week in now on the bike. But, with gas prices going insane again, I may just ahve to save the TT for sh*** and giggles on weekends, and ride the bike to work every day, rain or shine.

Still, the days are getting longer, which makes me happy.

Well, we went up a few kilometres from alphabet man's cabin today. Had a wee look at some falls, some Rocky Mountain Sheep and then sat on the beach and it was lovely. Sorry no pics, but temps were high enough for t shirts and the snow on those south facing hills has all melted. Very nice indeed. Castlegar is about 10c right now and a lovely late afternoon sun. Sadly, we have another heavy snow warning for tomorrow. Pretty hard to believe the way it feels out there right now, but  I guess that is what the Calgary folks get often.

Little green shoots, the sheep are in full moult and V's of geese flying down the lake.

The house sitter is all set, plans are made ... and we leave for Mexico on Friday.  Inlove   Chili Chili Chili

It was 10'C yesterday, we got over an inch of snow overnight, and it was melty again today (only +3 according to Environment Canada, we didn't look at the thermometer all day) and now we have a heavy snowfall warning too Rolleyes.  Yeah, we get this sort of thing often...

Definitely  Crazy...

Many years we don't get to ride into BC for the first time of the year until the July 1 long weekend.  Sometimes mid-June is OK, one year we tried to head over in May Rolleyes that did NOT go well....

We got this yesterday afternoon.  Our snow hadn't been all gone before this, but much diminished.  *sigh*

That a different 'Mog?  Thought yours had a camper body on it...

Same beast.  The camper body was made of plywood (aluminum roof) and was in really terrible shape so it went to the dump a while back.  The custom roof is stored at the moment, we don't know if we'll build another camper or not, our habits have changed a bit over the years.

...We have also accumulated that much snow again since Saturday.  *sigh*...

30km ride on the 250s today Bigok

3" of icy slushy mucky yuck to navigate for a block down our alley, after that it was all fine, just a few wet roads.

We forgot to take pictures while we were out, so there's no proof... Bigsmile

Supposed to be 10C+ all week in Central Ontario.

A welcome change form the 40cm of snow followed by -38C windchills we had last weekend.

WooF'nHoo! It's almost over!

Mid teens the last two SUNNY days,   sure feels like spring to me.

I might have to plate the bike early this year.

I had exactly the same thought this morning. Then I remembered all the pea gravel and salt residue. I think I'll wait till my usual 'Fools day trip to the registrar.
