Came across this on another forum. And I though $700-$800 was a lot for helmet
http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/arai-corsair-v-race-carbon-helmet
Maybe we could set up a group buy to get one helmet we can share

Does it still take 10 minutes and 3 wrenches to change the shield?

Yes, but the wrenches are proprietary and not included. You can purchase the tool set for $1995.00.

The review is for a different Corsair V model...not the Carbon. "This review is from Arai Corsair V Helmet - Solid." etc. The Carbons are still just pre-order.
When I win the lottery, can I have them develop a carbon fiber pair of pants, jacket, gloves, and boots...for a 6'1" 275 guy? That should only cost me about $75k.

Quite a few mfgs make an all CF helmet.
What is special about Arai's for them to charge 4 to 8 times as much as other CF helmets?

The name. Same reason a Harley costs more than comparable cruisers!

That's a nice helmet. I would buy one.
For about 800 bucks that is.

But they don't.
A Sportster 883 is cheaper than the Honda Shadow 750.
And better too:

Dynas are also very competitively priced.
