Yup. In a few years I can see it being called the Borscht, Bladder Control and BBQ.

Hey, I resemble that! Ask any of those with whom I have ridden!

We need to do something to attract the youth audience.  Maybe we can get one of those hep cat beat poets out to the cabin.

A "hep cat beat poet" might attract flies, and possibly a few Valley hippies with long grey hair...but youth audience?   I doubt it.  Nowadays, ya gotta get a big-city gangsta rappa or something Smile

Tenting spots will not be a problem. I will start an accommodation and sign up in early June.

In! Banana Chili Banana

I guess I need to change those to

An old friend is getting married that weekend, and much as we'd rather ride & visit in the Kootenays, we feel that staying in town to go to the reception that evening is the right thing to do...

A few rides in the Kootenays will occur in our summer, but we're really sad to have to miss the Borscht.

Thing is, that couple will almost certainly get divorced one day, making the whole celebration a bit false.

No, they're not riders...

We were somewhat hoping they'd choose to get married where she grew up - Rock Creek, BC.  Then we'd have attended the Friday night KBB gathering, Saturday morning breakfast, and ride the Kootenays to get to their festivities.  No such luck...

Trust me, we'd rather be there to drool over your & Bubba's new Italian Mistresses that weekend! Drool

Anybody want to go halfers on a double queen room in Castlegar with me for the weekend?

I'll take care of the booking.

Non-smoker, non-axe-murderer.  Bigok

Should be about $55 each.

This be me:

Veefer, I can probably offer you some floor space (and there's an airbed around here somewhere...I think...).

Floor space in the garage for the bike, too.

Just don't expect me to apologize for the mess! Crazy

(note, though: I'm 15-20 minutes down a twisty road from Castlegar, and last year I was stopped at a police roadblock immediately after leaving Bubba's for home, so if you're a heavy social drinker this may not work...).

I can't remember how much he drank last we met,  I was too drunk.

Bummer I'm not going this year, we could have ridden out together.

Mighty nice of you. Thanks.

If you can confirm the existence of said air mattress, and perhaps even if it holds air, I'd be up for that!  Bigok

Let me know.  Smile

Sorry i have been distracted and missed some comments.

I usually start an accommodation thread in early June.  Veefer, you've stayed at my house before so passed the test as you are welcome again Bigsmile.

We shall see how many folks are tenting, want to grab a motel because anything but afew hours with bubba is tooooo overwhelming ... Snerk, and too troo.  Or,  need to travel light and want a bed, couch etc.  Historically we give preference to travelling couples and da wimmin for bedrooms. And have ample room to go around.

Koots is right, you may not ride from here after drinking. PLEASE. You will be arrested, likely and it is not our style in anyway shape or form . To ride to his house, after embibing, is remarkably silly as it is a winding, mountain road.

So.  Let me call the Flamingo tomorrow as well ( a nice small, motorcycle friendly motel about 3 km from here) and see if i can snag a rate.
