Like it says, I may be moving to the area for work. Can I get some info about the city? The good, the bad and the places you have to go.

The strip clubs across the border in Covington I seem to remember are amusingly awful.

I'm not big on strip clubs, but I was in some of the Covington ones on a debauched night a long time ago. I remember an overweight dancer with a broken leg making her way across the stage on crutches and just thinking

I've never lived in Cincy but liked my trips there. It's a nice looking city and has more to offer than I expected. There's easy access to some great riding.

The zoo is great, the traffic not so much.  You get to deal with the Ohio State Patrol too.  There are at least 5 officers running radar on I-75 during rush hour between downtown and Sharonville headed north.  Their downtown Octoberfest celebration is damn fun.   Beerchug  For sports, you got the Bengals and Reds.  Kings Island is up the road a bit, Hocking Hills is 60-90 minutes away for them weekend rides.   Bigok

My old job had me running to Cinci once a week to check in at the home office.  We started downtown on 12th Street across from the popo station, ended up in one of the western suburbs before the owners folded the joint.  I stayed in Covington over surviving the downtown area.  There's some interesting night folks walking those streets.   Crazy

Great riding in Northern KY! You'll have to take sides in the Skyline vs GoldStar debate. Montgomery ribs gets a lot of hype, but it's not that great.

I've only been there a couple of times as a tourist, but here are my thoughts.....

+1 on the zoo. It's great. World-class actually. The aquarium across the river is also good. They have a pretty cool Christmas holiday display downtown too (outdoor rink + a bunch or trains set up and lots of things going on - my kids thought it was awesome).

There are some good roads to ride in the area (especially if you go south or east). Traffic around the city always seems like a pain, but it seems more slow at rush hour than jammed.

Reds and Bengals are a plus.

On my trips there I've never found any "must eat" restaurants that stick out, but there is lots of good food in general.

The people seem to be "small town friendly" for the most part.

Two friends of mine went out after a gig.  While the one was getting beers the other was approached and was offered a mother/daughter dance by a moderately attractive Cougar-type.  He thought, hell yeah! and said he'd take the daughter and the other could have mom, just as he was coming back from the bar.  At that point the cougar sat down in the first guy's lap while granny hobbled over to sit in the second's.   This is why I don't go to Covington.  Bigsmile

But yeah, Cincy's actually a pretty town, and there's a decent arts district with eclectic and tasty food.  Covington actually has some fun fall festivals.  And yes, there's some great riding not too far to the south.
