For $43 grand it should have a better exhaust.

I wouldn't hit it.

I was gonna say I hope Eric's got a wider vision than that if he's starting up a new thing independently.

It's a high tech engineering masterpiece I'm sure but who in the hell is going to spend $43,000 on a bike of this nature?

He'll go broke real fast trying to sell these. Sure there's the mega-rich who would pony up money like that but your average J. Q. Public Sportbiker
isn't.

For $43 large, you'd think they could throw in a seat.

I dunno, 384lbs wet is all kindsa spectacular.

With 175hp = 2.19lbs/hp

The new Duc 1199 is 415lbs.  With 195hp = 2.13 lbs/hp
1199s w/ electric suspension and other stuff (LED lights) is $24K..

After watching three bungled years of the 1125 series it would take years to re-earn my trust back concerning reliability.

Strike two is its no longer an american bike if Engine, Suspension, Brakes, Tires etc are all imported,  so why pay a surcharge.  I did not mind paying slightly more for similar bikes on my last 5 Buells. But the 1125 stick still lingers in the air.

Sorry Brad
Those XB's that you loved so much had just as many imported parts as the 1125s.  Buell had an advertisement in 2006 of just how many imported parts were on the xb.  China, Japan, Italy, etc.

Are these air vents for the brake discs?

Would make a good commuter.  I'm sure all the loyal Buell fans have placed their orders.

I'd hit it!    Inlove  Everything on that bike is hand built and assembled.  True, no fancy traction control or electronic suspension but it is still beautiful to look at and I'm sure beautiful to ride.

Yes, the carbon cooling ducts are fully functional and will fit on the 1125, and XBs, I believe.

The ONLY thing stopping me is the wee fact that I don't have $40,000 in expendable funds just sitting around.  Sad

It's a snorkel that was orignally designed for the Uly's.  It gets air to the ZTL brake when running rivers!  (12" deep rivers)

It's possible to get 80% close by modding an 1125R.  Replace suspension, upgrade brakes, add airtech bodywork, you can get close.

At least I think you can.   Wink

I read articles on the Battle Twin that said exactly the same of a bike that cost $12,000.  You'd sell a house to buy one now.

Good lawd that thing is wicked cool.

Deep six the exhaust can for something nicer, and the rest is perfect.

If I were loaded, I wouldn't think twice to plunk down 43 large for that machine.

How many people paid more than that for a custom chopper with the front wheel located way out in the next ZIP code? Lots.

Same here.

There are a few members at BWB who actually own these.  However, my 1125R is close enough.  I don't even get close to the limits of my R.  I may push it here and there.  The other day I hit 125+ in a long straight out in the middle of nowhere.  Boy that was fun and the motor sounds so good even with the stock can.
