This is outstanding news!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Indian financing behind the next run of series production bikes out East Troy . . . .

I believe the manufacturing of said bikes is already underway.  The dealer network, now that is another issue.

I get the technology gain for Hero.  I wonder what Hero will gain from having their logo all over a bike that will mostly be seen by American racing fans.  Maybe they are thinking of entering the US market???

Came out yesterday (when I saw it anyway) that they're taking it the next step now. HERO's going to buy a minority stake in EBR. Fingers crossed for a soon-to-come AX.

Nope, Hero is paying Buell for engineering services.  No buying in.

There's a number of articles along these lines from yesterday: http://m.economictimes.com/news/news-by-industry/auto/two-wheelers/hero-motocorp-to-buy-minority-stake-in-erik-buell-racing/articleshow/12049805.cms

Misunderstanding on their end?

Amazing what this guy has accomplished in 2 years.  Really amazing.  The dealer network is the real PIA.  Legal hurdles are HUGE for each state as is the money to put up.  Once his piggy bank has a couple of rolled up bills he will be able to move forward.   Bigok

I won't put any race result spoilers in this thread but I want to congratulate the EBR team on some excellent racing at the Infineon AMA Superbike races this weekend.  Bigok
