Well I started with a 2001 Aprilia Falco "Street fighter"...
And ended up with my own version. Removed the side panels, painted the rest of the aluminum black. Added new rizoma bars, mirrors and signals. New dark smoke screen. New smooth leather Sargent seat. New CNC yoke and risers. Derestricted. Garbo chip. Oberon clutch slave.

That looks like a lost drivers license to me. Nice Aprilia. There's a guy around here who has one all done up and that bike is mean. Sounds amazing.

Mixed emotions about you painting the Streetfighter kit. Yes, it looks better painted, but as rare as that kit is, I'm sure there's a collector groaning somewhere.
Also curious as to how it'll look with painted side panels

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
Nice high-mount exhaust. Who made it?
I bet this layout is a blast to ride with the Rizoma bars and upright ergos. Zigzag, if you can find some OZ wheels for this bike it will make an amazing amount of difference in the handing.
I put OZ's on my Tuono because they looked blingy (yes, I am that shallow). But even a hack like me can tell the difference. Highly recommended, you'll really be able to tell that you did it.

My first sport bike, first European bike was a 2001 Falco, black. Got it used with just 2850 miles, had Two Brother bar risers, Fox Shock, sargent seat and Staintune exhaust.
It was the best sounding motorcycle I ever owned.

The exhaust came with the Aprilia Street fighter kit so i assume it is from Aprilia as there's no markings on it. Quite thumpy and loud. I can feel it in my chest when the bike's idling.

Yeah I vacillated between keeping them and painting the bike silver as I don;t think the aluminum panels look good on black or other colors. Let alone it all felt designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Which is not a good thing imo. I still have the side panels and front and rear fenders.

'08 Tuono is righteous!
Keep that OZ wheel upgrade in mind...

I like it. Only thing I dislike is the aborted intake snorkels on the frame.

Aprilia didn't like them either, it turns out. The Streetfighter kit was basically a public beta test for the Tuono.

I would agree. I did away with the silver colored screens and added a black mesh ones. I have an evoluzione airbox kit that I've yet to install that will do away with them all together.
