I'm very interested in this event.  I tried to commit to last year but things just fell apart and aren't much more stable this year, but I'd really like to join in.  Been lurking for a long time now.

If nothing more, ESTN makes me feel like my Frog Togs were a good investment.

It's not going to rain!

Having ridden Sparta at that time of year for about five years, it almost always rains there, but I hardly ever had to ride in the rain.  It is usually scattered heavy thundershowers, usually in the afternoon.  If you watch the sky you almost always can ride around them.

Now you've done it.

Is your rain record the reason you're going to trade the K for an RT........rain protection.

Looks like there is only two that are decently close.  I can call tomorrow and find out what they charge.

A & C Campground
3435 Pine Swamp Road
Sparta, NC 28675
(336) 372-7905

http://www.canoeingthenew.com/accom.html
If they have any camping cabins available it seems well worth the extra $10.

I reserved a camping cabin for Sept. 7th and 8th.  The guy said the other two were currently available as well, so if you want to save some money but not deal with a tent give them a call.  Bigok

I'm not sure if the SO will have his bike together by then, but if not I'll be coming alone.

Will this be the first regional event attended by cultureslayer?

It'll be the KTM on this trip as I plan on making it an exploratory style dual sport weekend.  Friday will be riding twisties all day with Garry followed by two days of me checking out new-to-me dirt (or mud) roads.  God knows the rain added a bit more "adventure" during the spring Boyer Station weekend.  There's nothing like a little slipping and sliding!

Nope, you must be thinking of someone else.  That was back when I had my first blue/yellow 250, before the neighbor ran over it.  Sad
