So after back to back snows that totaled 21 inches I plowed and shoveled for a couple days and along with some spring like temps, melted a path from garage to road. KLR Ken and myself on my Husky did a lil dualsport ride. All of the trails were to deep,

Ken ended up walking the KLR out of the woods and back up a hill, sorry Kenny!
So with the trail option nixed it was onto the roads.

Which offered varying traction from almost clear to water covered ice to 3,4 inches of soft snow/slush on top of ice

We stopped for a break and video check at Carney falls on the N. branch of the Pike river.

Me an Kenny.

A Bald Eagle that's been around the river all winter did a nice fly by.

The roads just got worse from here. It was a constant battle to stay upright as you'd break through the crust and fight loosing the front end.
I watched Kenny get away with some amazing saves, and also the one he didn't save!

At which point we started heading back. It was tougher going getting home because the temps in the upper 40's had softened up the roads even further.
It was great to get out for a springish ride
Enjoyed a nice O'so Brewery DANK, post ride.
