Bling LED Lights
«

I know this is probably not a popular farkle for sport-tourers, but does anyone have a recommendation for LED accent light kits? My wife wants some on her bike. She bought me some Kuryakyn Lizard Light kit 10 years ago that I have since unfortunately lost or misplaced, otherwise I'd install those. I'm looking for blue, and it doesn't need to be a lot of lights. There seems to be a huge amount of options.

Ebay is your friend. Do some searches and you'll find all manner of LED's on the cheap...so cheap that you can buy multiple options and see what works best for you.

I've done a few installs for friends and get my stuff from
http://www.xoxide.com/lazerled.html
. Cheapest prices found and the same quality as the $20 ones. Get some phone wire from your local electric shop and a simple waterproof switch. Voilą! Bling.

Thanks for the recommendations. Some of the kits are exorbitant.
Sleezy - don't you need to run a fuse as well?

Yeah, forgot that minor detail. I was sneaking in a post from work.

I think that was Rocket Bunny.
I searched long and hard tonight and resurrected the lizard lights from an old storage box. I'm very happy to not have to buy a set! It didn't take long to install and I got my wife off my back, phew. Thanks for the link anyway.

Do you play the "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" theme when you ride?

That bike is LOOOOONG gone.
As I
get older
mature gracefully, my bikes seem to get lower and faster.
It actually won a couple light show competitions at bike shows and I led the night parade downtown at Americade with it one year. When it was all done, I had over 75 light pods and a neon underbody kit installed.

I have the 10 pod color changing LED kit installed on my 2002 Suzuki Bandit. Looks pretty cool and it helps other vehicles see you at night.

I ended up putting four LED pods at the base of the screen pointing up thru it. The plexiglas carries the light beams up to the edges, but is not visible while looking thru the screen. It's really more impressive in person. The current/second owner is in Montgomery, AL. He still has the bike 8 years later and has only put an additional 20k miles on it.
