The smokin' crater where a motorcycle used to be...

Sold the Duc 30 minutes ago and am already having severe separation anxiety.

Gene flew down from Chicago this morning to pick it up and ride it home via backroads over the course of a couple of days (with a pit-stop at the Barber museum first). He's already got quite a garage full of bikes...K1200S, 1098, Thruxton, Monster, and a Guzzi LeMans.

Have a safe trip bro!  :-*

New owner will NOT be disappointed in the ST4s.  I dearly miss my old one.

Congratulations Gene!~ But I'm sad now. I had just convinced my wife to put my bike up for sale now and not wait till I get home from the deployment. She agreed that if my bike sold I could then think about buying this one.  I guess I'll keep my FJR now.

Sorry to rehash a very dead thread, but I figured I'd kill two birds here.  I have a line on a 2002 ST4S and while intrigued, I don't know shit about them.  What is the maintenance like on these old birds?

If I can get my Speed Triple sold and like the ride on the Duc, I might pull the trigger if the upkeep isn't too bad.  I enjoy riding from GA to Colorado and don't really want to pull over for a valve adjustment before I get to Kansas!
