I've had a Pinterest account for a while (and followed the site's meteoric rise) but never really done anything with it. So for fun (and as a kind of experiment), I went through a thousand of my riding photos over the past few years and pulled 60+ of the best ones, then added them all to a Pinterest board called "Roads of My Dreams" (because these are all places and scenes I dream of all the time). Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out...http://pinterest.com/wvu_scott/roads-of-my-dreams/
Ultimately, I think Pinterest fails as a photo gallery. I was irritated to see that it shrunk all my pics down to a small size, even though my original uploaded pics were 1280x960. (And even stranger is that it displays vertical/portrait-oriented shots at a larger size.) Still, Pinterest has the same advantages of Facebook, Flickr, etc: it has a vast
audience...so the potential for more people to see my pics is greater there than if I'd just created my own photo gallery.
