Yeah, this is STN.  It's not unusual to ride 180 miles to get to the start of a ride.

Will be riding down through there withsome friends on Saturday after 2. If you happen to ride down 125 and see a blue zx14 with other sportbikes wave or introduce yourself. Wink we stop down at Ravine for a brake at the bottom and ride up and down 125 some before heading north toward wilmspt.

Hi Ken! Man, I'd LOVE to do this. I really miss Knoebel's---we normally go every year but couldn't make it last year. Alas, it's 260 miles from Morgantown (at least 5hrs).  Sad I don't know if I can swing that (at least without making it a multi-day trip.) I'll have to ponder it...

For anyone else considering it who hasn't been to Knoebel's, DO IT.  Smile I agree with Ken 100%—Knoebel's is an unknown gem, and my favorite amusement park, hands-down. It's the "Corporate Park ANTIDOTE."  Bigok

Scott

PS - Actually, I'm thinking maybe I should organize a new STN "Ride to the Rides" out here---we could go to Kennywood or Cedar Park!  Bigsmile (But those aren't exactly winning ride destinations...)

"Cedar Park" = Cedar Point  Wink

All of Kennywood is a National Historic Landmark.  3 "Golden Age" wooden coasters make it a must-do for enthusiasts.

Kennywood is good fun.

I haven't been there in probably 15 years. Sounds like a good excuse for an overnighter if I can find a free weekend.

I wish I could go, but I'm working second shift again, with Sunday and Monday off. So I can't do much on Saturdays anymore; gotta be at work by 3pm. For those who haven't been on this ride the past two years, Ken puts together a great route, with plenty of maps and info. And Knoebel's is the best amusement park ever; very family-friendly atmosphere, no admission fee (you buy tickets for the rides, but getting in the park is free), awesome food (award-winning, in fact), and you can even camp there overnight if you want to stay all weekend. Have fun, guys!

I'd be curious to see how Knobels fared through all that flood damage from last September.

Knobels took on some very, very heavy damage from what I understand.
