Yeah.  One of perhaps to many passions.  Essentailly three system.  A recent move to a music server made me, once agian, have to revisit the entire cabling configuration.  Probably the biggest bugaboo in a high end system is getting all the cable just right.  AC cords, interconnects, speaker wire, usb etc., etc., etc.

Good God. That's some amazing gear! Also more money than my first house...

Too bad nothing sounds good enough anymore to give it a workout. Lady GaGa just tarnished the value...

Good luck with this sale.  I can't imagine how difficult it will be in these times where audiophiles are fewer than ever.

I sold my high end stuff in the early 90s when there was still a decent market.  But I needed to.  I was young and over-extended my credit, not to mention the items I had were huge and I did not have an appropriate listening room.  Nor did I have enough power.

I had 2 Counterpoint SA-4 mono blocks, SA-100 pre-amp and monstrous Apogee Acoustic Divas.  The next best thing I had, and cheap by comparison, was a Pioneer PD-75 CD player which I still actually have.  But the other stuff was simply monstrous, would blow apartment breakers and the mono blocks simply weren't enough for the Divas.  But what things of beauty they were.

People literally shit bricks when you mention the cost of interconnects.

Unless you've heard how important cables are it's like trying to explaine...love!  Truly a shame you had to loose your system.  I honestly donlt know how anyone can live without music in their home with at least a mid-range system (around $35,000 complete).

I've broken down my reference and mid-fi systems but still have the Omega ribbon plnars up with a modest Nu Froce P9, Arion RS500 and Oracle CD 1500 MKIII.  Cables from JPS Labs, Nu Force and Pursit Audio.  Pretty nice.

Apogee.  I kept my MiniGrand unitl I found something really better.  The Analysis are siginificantly so and easy to drive to boot.

I'm very much looking forward to building a dedicated sound room in the new house starting at the main AC panel.
