A co-worker shared the following link with me.  I ran about 25% of these roads on my own during an exploration trip last year.  It looks like I need to go back.   Bigok

Does anyone have any experience on these roads?

I have ridden most of them from Tathams Gap (Robbinsville to Andrews) west. I have not ridden the Snowbird roads SW of Robbinsville but I have been on all the rest. They are mostly well graded gravel roads.

There are also a lot of nice gravel roads on the West side of Hwy 68 running South out of Tellico Plains. The missus and I like to base out of Tellico and do days rides from there.

Thanks for the reply.  I may have to copy off of you and base myself out of Tellico some long weekend this year.  I'll have to shoot you a PM and see if you're bored that weekend.

Not dual sport related but Tellico related. I stayed in Tellico Plains Saturday night at Hunt's Lodge Motorcycle Campground, http://www.huntslodge.com/

It is owned by Jack and Lori who are both riders and they have  nice setup just a mile or so out of Tellico on 68. Nice clean restrooms and showers, covered pavilion and picnic tables, comfortable cabins with boot/glove dryers and covered parking for the bikes, laundry access, lots of level area for tent camping and bike parking, and all at reasonable prices.

I kicked back at the fire pit after my ride and caught up with email since they have wireless and my phone would actually work for the first time that day. It was a very pleasant stay.

If you want a private bathroom, Caney Creek Village is a pretty good place to stay. About 2.5 miles outside of Tellico Plains.
