Hmm..so most people accept that the injuries reported after the fact to Zimmerman shed some new light on the case...
HOWEVER..when the reverse happens and we find out some things we MAY have taken as fact may need to be reconsidered on the side against Zimmerman's self defense claim it's suddenly all do to fear, coercion, etc etc..seems it's pretty ok to armchair it one way..
interesting...
My comment was to the idea that witnesses are kept confidential.
Unless you are put in the witness protection program, people can readily find out who you are, and at trial you will be "outed."

i know someone who was a witness to a shooting and they received multiple death threats before trial even began. i wouldn't be at all surprised if this is going on in this case too.

Much like the birther post the same bunch of conspiracy theorists come out. Either way if it contracdicts a bit..possibly, what you WANT to think so of course their testimony is bunk or bs or coerced etc etc on and on..
Yes, eye witnesses are not the most reliable form of evidence..but since the kid can't tell his story they are going to have to use them, and a lot of other evidence, to paint any other story other than Zimmerman's..soo...welp..thats life. But stories HAVE changed..or at least added details under further questioning, for whatever reason. Will be interesting to see how it pans out in court.

So here's how it works:
The prosecutor can paint whatever story he wants with the presented facts. However, if the defense paints a different picture that is plausible AND isn't contradicted by the facts, it's by definition, reasonable doubt. You lose, George Zimmerman wins. That's how our system works.

Or he gets caught on lesser charges..depending on how it goes...yup yup...Thats how it works
But you all don't even know all the facts...and when new ones come out are instantly discounted by both sides. Jus saying..
I don't even know if Zimmerman is guilty of anything. What I do know an awful lot of people jumped to his side rather quickly...and the reasons they did seem far beyond just evidence.

I beileve many jumped to his defense because the MSM immediately declared him guilty. Sort of like what they did to Richard Jewell.

What happened is a lot of people jumped to one side
or the other
in accordance with their "political" and/or "racial" motivations.... with little regard to facts...
Once people commit to a position additional facts are either embraced or discounted depending on whether they support an individual's position....

This is far and away different than the Richard Jewell case
But it does point to some bias both on your and my part

Uhm, no it's not. The Media made a spectacle of a superficially intriguing story, whipped up a fury for ratings, despite no real evidence supporting their position. They ruined a man's life (and possibly a second man's life). In the Jewell case, he successfully sued NBC and some others, but it took its toll on him.
In this case, NBC manufactured evidence and got caught straight away. IF he's acquitted, expect NBC to take a red hot poker over this one.

Yes it is...
3 NBC employees lost their jobs over selective editing of the 911 call. That was crap but George Zimmerman is going to trail due to the activism of Martin's parents and the community.. Not NBC. If your kid was shot I would expect you to be just as proactive. We KNOW Zimmerman shot the kid...there is zero doubt of that. Just if it was self defense or not is in doubt...or in some minds not.
Jewell was never charged and we never had him standing there with a smoking gun.
In the end asking accountability from a new agency..be it NBC or FOX is seemingly pointless

Have them ruin your life. I bet you'd be more interested in a large financial black eye for them.
Edit to add: You do have a point about Jewell. He was never charged, but then again, there wasn't a political agenda to force charges on him either.

Some would say by leaving his house..making the CHOICE to ignore a 911 dispatcher, and shooting a kid Mr. Zimmerman had a part in putting himself there. He made a choice...he had other options.
Mr. Zimmerman took a very big step towards ruining the life of the Martin family...Choices have consequences. For Trayvon he lost his life for his..for Martin it is the trial he must go through. Maybe people should be more thoughtful when they play around with guns
Accountability goes in all directions.
Here again..the activism of a family that lost their child brought him to trial. Did the news help this along..yes...but if not for the parents and community it would have been brushed under the rug as they were trying to do and it would have been just one more dead kid in the record books.

Zimmerman has rights too. He had EVERY right to be there. Saying, "If only he wasn't there, nothing would have happened!" is ridiculous. He did nothing outside of his constitutionally protected rights. At the moment of the shooting is the only point of contention. If Trayvon was the primary attacker, then sorry, Zimmerman gets a walk--at least if I were on the jury. No matter what anyone one else had to say on the jury, I would be holding out. Political correctness be damned.

No laws were violated by either individual up until the altercation. What you're saying is that if Trayvon would have stayed home and done his homework that night instead of getting high he would still be alive.

And this is exactly what the case is to determine.
The Martin family just asked that he be arrested and this question be asked. There is a lot more contention of the fact, be you willing to accept it or not, than JUST at the point of shooting on BOTH sides.
And your not on the jury..neither am I..

Actually, there was.
The Centennial Park bombing was seen by the whole world (summer Olympics). The FBI had a massive hardon to nail someone for the crime ASAP, and they were setting up Jewell to take the fall in spite of the fact he did not fit the so-called "profile" they were using to try and nail him to the wall. Had his buddy (who was a lawyer) not told him to STFU and get to his office (he was "cooperating" with the FBI in their "investigation"), I have no doubt the FBI would have set him up with enough innuendo-based evidence to level charges).
