I need to clean mine more often, that's for sure.
Look at all that crap waiting to get in.
Filter removed.
Ewwwwwww.
I cleaned with gasoline, which was pleasant.

That's nasty looking.
I finally decided that I'm too lazy to clean and reoil a reusable filter often enough. I've never really trusted the amount of oil I use anyway. I ordered a replaceable OEM filter yesterday.

Turn it around and put the clean side facing out. You'll be golden.

I was thinking of simply removing it to let the bike "Breathe" better.

Around here it gets cleaned ever oil change. Which is probably the recommended interval anyway.
