Not an STN member but a friend of mine from work. We're not 100% sure this is him but the age, bike (GSXR 600), location, and time fit pretty well. One of the guys at work was going to ride home with him (they live a few blocks apart) but he was running late and said he'd catch up. The guy here is pretty upset that he didn't wait for him.

I just got word that he has two broken arms and is going in for surgery, has a fractured vertebra (T7 I think the boss said), and a bad burn on his leg.

He does regularly wear a full face helmet, textile jacket, gloves, and boots. He normally goes up 287 but because he thought it was going to sprinkle a little, we think he was taking 25 due to it being quicker.

Apparently he was riding on 25 when someone decided to change lanes and lost control. The car spun out of control and caught Ken's bike pulling him under the car and dragging him for 70' or so. One of the company Directors wife came upon the accident after and folks were trying to pull him out from under the vehicle (still don't know if it was the Texas car or the SUV).

Also, his two upper arms are broken but his two lower arms are shattered. He's in surgery now getting put back together but should be home in a few days. He's also being fitted with a back brace.

He's in good spirits though, joking about volunteers to help him with bathroom duty over the next weeks and months. Smile

I sure hope he heals up quick. The worst part of spring is this increase of accidents starting. Ride safe out there everyone!

Sad  Rotten news except that he survived what sounds like a terrible accident. Good thoughts headed his way for a quick recovery.
