cultureslayer: Quote from: stefrrr on May 06, 2012, 12:19:13 PM Goodwill is a GREAT place to get good clothes for a hell of a lot less. Nothing wrong with Goodwill. :) (except for shoes - you don't want shoes that someone else has broken in/stretched out before you get them) I have a bunch of express shirts from there, but haven't been to goodwill much lately because I can't seem to find anything else there that fits. I guess I'm going to have to find a consignment store in the area that stocks smaller sizes, since I'm too small for dress barn and have been having horrible luck at TJ Maxx lately. It's really a sad reflection on this country when I'm dead average for height (5'5"), a healthy weight, and have to shop in the juniors section because the misses stuff is too big. |

She goes between a pair of Salomons for distance running, a worn out pair for public transit commuting, and orbit-level heels for everything else. Her motorcycle boots have a four inch heel. She's actually been trying to figure out if having one of her toes removed would make her better adapted to her heels. But this would be way easier and the recovery time much quicker. |

I'm the opposite, and I just learned I have unusually high arches (and a wider than normal foot) which explains why I find the things so uncomfortable. now I am determined to find decent looking shoes that don't cause me pain. There's a bunch of essentially new ecco shoes on ebay right now, so hopefully a pair will be headed my way soon. I love women with more money than sense that sell me their expensive worn once shoes for nothing. :D |
